Responsibilities: <p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software and configurations.</li> <li>Plan, implement and coordinate network security measures and protocols to ensure systems and data are protected.</li> <li>Implement, manage and support services for Microsoft related technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange Server.</li> <li>Respond to problems related to networks, computer applications and systems and provide expert technical support to users.</li> <li>Diagnose hardware, software and application failures and correct malfunctions and other operational problems.</li> <li>Manage competing priorities from customers and satisfy the competing demands of various business units.</li> <li>Manage data backups and disaster recovery operations, maintain and administer phone systems, BES and mobile devices.</li> <li>Maintain hardware and software inventories, licensing agreements and user access.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Our new Network and Information Systems Administrator has:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. You have a Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree, with a technical major such as Computer Science or Engineering.</li> <li>The certification. You have advanced industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP or CCNA. Microsoft MCITP or MCSE would be an added benefit.</li> <li>The experience. You have a combined 5+ years of Network Administration and Information Systems administration experience including:</li> <li>Hands-on experience with multiple hardware and software products from vendors such as Cisco, IBM, HP and Microsoft.</li> <li>Advanced experience with Cisco Firewalls and Switches.</li> <li>Expansive knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems, virtualization and Cloud IaaS.</li> <li>Intermediate level of experience with Redhat/CentOS/Ubuntu.</li> <li>Experience and understanding of TCP/IP and other standard network protocols in relation to the configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of networks and data communications equipment.</li> <li>A strong background in network security management, internet firewalls, routing technologies, intrusion prevention and detection.</li> <li>Experience with hardware clustering and virtualization utilising VMware or Hyper-V.</li> <li>The ownership and accountability. You are proactive and innovative. You take responsibility for your work, prioritising tasks as needed.</li> <li>The communication skills. Your ability to explain technical solutions to a non-technical audience is outstanding. You have excellent technical writing skills, including the ability to write clear and concise requirements, design specifications and project documents.</li> <li>The speed and attention to detail. You can quickly analyse issues and determine the best course of action using available resources. You have the ability to develop systematic testing plans for problem resolution.</li> <li>The team mindset. You are a team player with the ability to work under pressure.
