Responsibilities: <p class="readOnlyFrame"><strong><u>Actuarial Analyst III-Commercial<br /><br /></u></strong>The Actuarial Analyst III will be responsible for modeling the financial impact of formulary decisions for the Commercial line of business and reconciling projected impacts to actual results. VAC support is a highly visible function, the ability to communicate with confidence to a diverse workgroup will be a key factor for success.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Developing pharmacy cost of care models</li> <li>Working closely with clinical pharmacists and the rebate team to develop actuarial assumptions used in modeling cost of care savings</li> <li> <p>Presenting models during workgroup calls and explaining analyses to a diverse audience</p> </li> <li> <p>Ad hoc research to investigate the impact of formulary decisions on prescription drug utilization over time</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborating with the VAC actuarial team in developing detailed assumptions for the Commercial line of business needed for VAC modeling</p> </li> <li> <p>Model expansion to accommodate growing organizational needs</p> </li> <li> <p>Working with the cost of care team to align ASO factors with formulary changes</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Actuarial Analyst III-Medicare<br /><br /></u></strong>The Actuarial Analyst III will be responsible for modeling the financial impact of formulary decisions for the Medicare line of business and reconciling projected impacts to actual results. This role will also lead reconciliation of modeled savings to actual results for all lines of business.
