Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Oversees caregiving staff for a specific group of children and overall care and supervision of children.</li> <li>Prepares learning space daily with developmentally appropriate equipment and activities</li> <li>Attends and Participate in Monthly Monday staff meeting</li> <li>Attends trainings and give a presentation to the staff about information obtained</li> <li>Attends required staff orientation, open houses and parent potlucks</li> <li>Educates students by planning and developing course of study according to curriculum guidelines; school district and state requirements.</li> <li>Maintains order in the classroom by counseling students with behavioral problems; consulting with other professionals where there appears to be evidence of learning disabilities, problems of social adjustment, or child abuse.</li> <li>Reports Abuse or Neglect as a mandated reporter</li> <li>Maintains safe, secure, and healthy educational environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.</li> <li>Keeps parents informed by maintaining records of academic performance, attendance, and social acclimation; reporting on all elements of student development at parent-teacher conferences, both regularly scheduled and as-needed.</li> <li>Updates job knowledge by attending meetings; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.</li> <li>Enhances school's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Be age 19 or older</li> <li>Hold a CDA and at least three years full time experience OR a BA and at least one year experience</li> <li>Be able to communicate effectively with parents, other staff, and children</li> <li>Be able to assess children and report results to director and parents</li> <li>Be committed to conflict resolution work with other staff members</li> </ul>
