Right now, we’re looking to add a Machine Set Up and Tooling Technician to our team. In this role you will work under minimal supervision and will be responsible to perform machine set up and tooling change overs, as required. We need someone with strong troubleshooting skills and who can assist with providing technical expertise on machine processing.

In this role you will work under minimal supervision and will be responsible to perform machine set up and tooling change overs, as required. We need someone with strong troubleshooting skills and who can assist with providing technical expertise on machine processing. You have a solid Technical / Mechanical background, previous set-up experience and an ability to use various types of equipment and precision measuring instruments.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>You will be responsible for set up and change-over of various Thermoforming equipment</li> <li>You will install parts, hardware and tooling / components, as needed and troubleshoot complex problems associated with the set up</li> <li>You have the mechanical aptitude to perform and transition required tooling change overs and machine set ups</li> <li>You will analyze problems concerned with tooling and make changes / modifications, as necessary and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on tooling, systems &amp; related equipment</li> <li>You will prepare and stage tooling for next set up / change overs</li> <li>You will perform machining requirements which include the proper use of lathes, mills, grinders, drills, saws and other machine shop related equipment</li> <li>You will fabricate and perform bench assembly operations including assembly, screwing, drilling, taping and sanding and will ensure accurate attachment of tooling plate set-ups</li> <li>You will accurately fill out work orders and labor reports for each task completed daily</li> <li>You must be able to work safely with a good understanding of Lock out and Tag out procedures</li> <li>You will take the initiative to train others</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring to the role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The experience: <ul> <li>You have 2-5 years of Technical / Set-up Technician experience, ideally with machines such as injection molding or vacuum forming</li> <li>You have 2-5 years Millwright / Machinist / Mechanical experience in the manufacturing industry preferred</li> <li>Crane, scissor lift and forklift certifications are considered an asset</li> <li>You have a working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulics</li> </ul> </li> <li>The knowledge: <ul> <li>You have a healthy balance of strong communication skills and mechanical expertise</li> <li>You can critically think about issues that arise, work towards a solution and are passionate about understanding the root cause of issues</li> </ul> </li> <li>The flexibility&nbsp; <ul> <li>You are comfortable working&nbsp; extra hours, evenings and weekends if / when required</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p>It is the policy of Array to provide reasonable accommodations for qualified persons with disabilities who apply for employment at Array.
