Responsibilities: <p><strong>&nbsp;What you will do</strong></p> <ul> <li>You will correctly diagnose a mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or Pneumatic problem and expedite its repair.</li> <li>You will carry out and plan preventative maintenance, breakdown/corrective maintenance and escalate as necessary.</li> <li>You will set up equipment when required by the Department supervisor or manager.</li> <li>You will properly document work being performed, parts used and timesheets as well as perform basic electrical control wiring as required.</li> <li>You will assist in operator training, maintenance technician/apprentice training related to&nbsp;equipment set up and maintenance.</li> <li>You will perform machining requirements which include the proper use of lathes, mills, grinders, drill press and other machine shop related equipment.</li> <li>As a collaborative team member, you will be involved in focus groups to eliminate ongoing problems to reduce downtime.</li> <li>You will perform all tasks in the safest manner possible and maintain good housekeeping&nbsp;practices.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring to the role</strong></p> <ul> <li>You have successfully completed the 433A Millwright program and/or are licensed and experienced in one or more or the following trades: <ul> <li>Machinist,</li> <li>Tool and die.</li> <li>Electromechanical controls&nbsp;</li> </ul> </li> <li>You have 2 to 5 years Millwright / Electromechanical experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.</li> <li>You have a College diploma in a technical program preferably electromechanical technician, industrial maintenance mechanic.</li> <li>You have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and&nbsp;maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li> <li>You have solid writing skills including creating routine reports and correspondence.</li> <li>You are comfortable speaking in front of groups including employees and customers.</li> <li>You are able to deal with problems effectively and troubleshoot issues.</li> <li>You have knowledge of and experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines (mills, panel saws and routers), vacuum forming machines, vacuum pumps,&nbsp; pneumatic die cutters, and basic wood shop machinery.</li> <li>You also have comprehensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics as well as experience with PLC&rsquo;s and the ability to read monitor control schematics.</li> <li>You have good computer skills including Microsoft Office, and familiarity with computerized preventative maintenance programs.</li> <li>You must be able to work any shift including evenings and weekends if necessary.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical demands of the role</strong></p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the successful candidate to perform the essential functions of this job.
