We need a Financial Business Analyst to analyze business performance, implement processes to increase efficiency and facilitate the transition of Finance and Estimating to a new ERP solution. It is an opportunity to be part of an organizational transformation; a chance to have your voice heard and to apply your expertise to enhance efficiencies in the Finance and Estimating function.</p> <p><strong>What&rsquo;s in it for you</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong><em>Impact</em>.&nbsp;</strong>This is a newly created role where you will define your day-to-day and long-term deliverables. You will be part of a significant transition at a global company, providing both insights and hands-on support.</li> <li><strong><em>Knowledge</em>.</strong>&nbsp;You will broaden your skills instantly as you take on the role of a Sage expert and offer training and guidance to the team. As we introduce and implement a new ERP solution, your role will transition to a Subject Matter Expert, guiding the transfer of processes from one system to another. You will take on the role of superuser and act as an advisor.</li> <li><em><strong>Growth</strong>.</em>&nbsp;Over the long term, you will take on the role of ERP Finance superuser. You will focus on introducing upgrades and enhanced functionality of the system.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>What our new Financial Business Analyst will do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct an analysis of financial transactions recorded in Sage flagging unusual transactions, escalating when necessary and bringing them to resolution.</li> <li>Build reports, processes and analysis tools to meet the needs of the business.</li> <li>Assess the current user-base, determine training needs and provide guidance.</li> <li>Actively participate in and support the new ERP solution implementation.</li> <li>Facilitate the transition for the Finance and Estimating functions from Sage to the new solution.</li> <li>Create and rollout new ERP reporting following best practices.</li> <li>Provide training to other teams on new ERP financial reporting tools.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>As a Financial Business Analyst, you have:</strong></p> <ul> <li><em><strong>Education.</strong></em>&nbsp;You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS, System/Industrial Engineering or related field. Formal process improvement training (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), etc.) is an asset.</li> <li><em><strong>Direct Experience.</strong></em>&nbsp;You have 3 or more years of experience driving process improvement and lean strategies across the different functional areas as part of a team implementing a top- or middle-tier ERP solution. You have 2 years of project management experience successfully delivering complex technology solutions within a defined Software/Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC).</li> <li><em><strong>Knowledge.</strong></em>&nbsp;You are familiar with enterprise business processes for a manufacturing business. You have expertise in process analysis, design and documentation.</li> <li><em><strong>Technical.</strong></em>&nbsp;You have expertise in Sage/Mas 90 or 200 and the add-on Jobops. You are proficient in the MS Office Suite including Visio. You have familiarity with Crystal Reports. You can easily come up to speed with our selected ERP upgrade solution.</li> <li><em><strong>Interpersonal.</strong></em>&nbsp;Your communication skills - written, verbal, presentation- are outstanding. You are comfortable talking to teams from the manufacturing shop upwards to C-level executives. You have the confidence to take a stand, defend your decision and hear the opposition.
