Responsibilities: <p><strong>How our new Materials Inventory Coordinator will work with our supplier in California:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collect data. You will compile data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports. You will update the database(s) to maintain accurate inventory, purchasing and shipping records.</li> <li>Manage backorders. You will sequentially release backorders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available.</li> <li>Manage inventory. You will maintain and update stock supplies based on control records and related information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions. You will prepare requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items. You will review files to determine unused items and recommend disposal of excess stock.</li> <li>Perform quality assurance. You will conduct QA checks for graphics using the supplied signed-off samples. You will conduct root cause investigations of cycle counts and inventory discrepancies.</li> <li>Coordinate transactions. You will manage all inbound and outbound inventory for assigned 3PL warehouses including shipping, receiving, overseas freight routing for ocean containers and scheduling returns shipped in error.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>So, how do we know you are the new Materials Inventory Coordinator? You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education and experience. You have a two-year college or technical school diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management or Logistics. You may have up to a year of experience in production manufacturing. You understand the level of detail and accuracy required in inventory coordination and management. You want to grow your career in Supply Chain Management.</li> <li>The technical skills. You are highly&nbsp;proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word. You understand database management. You learn new technologies easily.</li> <li>The communication abilities. You are well spoken and not afraid to pick up the phone to make or take a call. You can compose clear, concise business emails with ease. You can effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization.</li> <li>The drive. You are self-motivated and proactive. You thrive in an autonomous role.
