Reporting to the VP Finance in Head Office located in Toronto, Canada, the Director of Finance will be responsible for managing accounting, reporting, budgeting, costing, inventory, A/R, A/P for Long Island operations.</p> <p>Our ideal candidate is not your typical finance leader; we&rsquo;re looking for someone who brings a strong operations background and business acumen to Array. Responsibilities: <p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p><strong>Financial Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>You will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of company policies and internal controls that are consistent and support the protection of company wide assets. You will also manage the annual audit.</li> <li>You will manage the team that generates internal financial statements. This role ensures we have accurate job costing and margin reporting and systems that support them as well as adequate controls, insightful information and protection of assets at the sites. You will supervise the development of cash flows, and are responsible for working capital improvement.</li> <li>As part of the executive team you will work with the sales team to create accurate sales budgets and forecasting, and link this to capacity planning at the sites across US and Canada. You will lead the effective integration with the general manager into one cohesive entity, ensuring that we are maximizing value and margins for the business. Together with the general manager, you will develop the annual operating and capital budgets and subsequent forecasts, variance analysis and insights into further opportunity for profitability. You will create plans to increase scale and efficiency.</li> <li>Key projects that you will be working on will include but not be limited to: project margin enhancement, project costing accuracy, margin-based sales compensation implementation, inventory and warehouse automation, staff development, enhanced financial analysis, ERP transformational process and implementation, and improved coordination with the other Array divisions globally.<strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>In this role you will provide coaching, guidance and support, and set professional development plans to assist employees to reach their full potential through the Performance Management process.</li> <li>You will be infinitely curious about the business, its drivers and opportunities for gaining market share and winning business. You are equally as skilled in business and operations as you are in finance.</li> <li>You will ensure the team delivers the highest standard of departmental, cross-departmental and customer service and be a support resource that leads the organization forward. Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>You have a recognized university degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Accounting, Economics).</li> <li>Achieved a recognized professional accounting designation (Chartered Professional Accountant or &ldquo;CPA&rdquo;).</li> <li>You have 10 or more years as a leader of a finance function including 7+ years of manufacturing experience. Experience in a Private Equity backed company is preferred.</li> <li>You possess the following experience, skills, attributes and capabilities: <ul> <li>Excellent accounting skills, system skills in large ERP environments</li> <li>Able to assist with the implementation of the ERP program, create needed new roles, document new business processes and optimize resources and throughput</li> <li>Exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office software including financial modeling</li> <li>Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively within time constraints</li> <li>Experience in sophisticated ERP systems &ndash; Sage experience preferred but not required</li> <li>Contribute to a flexible, solutions-focused working culture that fosters personal development</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>The Array way</strong></p> <p>Whether you are working in the finance department in Long Island, the design studio in Toronto or around the world on the manufacturing floor, Array is a place that invests in our people and recognizes their success.
