We need someone who can drive the financial planning process to maximize profit through a broad range of activities that include: financial planning and forecasting; developing financial models and participating in corporate projects related to our systems and data. Responsibilities: <p><strong>What our new Operations Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis will focus on:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Budget and forecasting. You will: <ul> <li>Conduct accurate, transparent, and timely financial analysis.</li> <li>Maintain the company&rsquo;s commission schedules.</li> <li>Assist with establishing and monitoring operational metrics and KPI&rsquo;s.</li> <li>Provide ad hoc analysis supporting the long-term forecast.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Developing tools for the Financial Planning and Analysis team. You will: <ul> <li>Promote a deep understanding of revenue and expense results and trends.</li> <li>Assist with Budgeting, Forecasting, and Monthly Analysis requirements related to direct operating expenses across all customers.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Acting as a catalyst for change. You will lead the development of financial models and templates that improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial planning and analysis outputs and processes. You will proactively identify issues and solutions.</li> <li>Building cross-functional relationships. You will foster collaboration and alignment within the team and across the company.</li> <li>Managing multiple projects. You will: <ul> <li>Deliver high quality and timely results on corporate projects related to the company&rsquo;s systems and data.</li> <li>Lead post mortem project analysis to identify root cause on cost overruns and opportunities to increase operating margins.</li> <li>Develop a curriculum and framework to teach post mortem learnings to cross-functional teams.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>So, how do we know you are the new Operations Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis? You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education and experience. A CPA, Engineering graduate or MBA.</li> <li>The experience. 2+ years in a Financial Planning and Analysis role. Ideally you have exposure to cost-accounting within a mid-sized manufacturer and familiarity with logistics, supply chain and inventory.</li> <li>The technical skills. Strong experience with MS Office with advanced Excel; data governance principles and the ability to quickly become an expert on new systems</li> <li>The drive. Self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, logical thinking, and a desire to have a significant impact on the organization</li> <li>The interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to build relationships and the comfort to reach out to internal and external contacts to request information.
