Overview: The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for identifying and improving the execution of company processes to improve efficiencies, reduce waste and increase internal and external customer satisfaction while providing leadership and support as the company continues to implement continuous improvement and excellence initiatives.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Organize and conduct lean training/workshops throughout the organization to drive cultural change</li> <li>Create value stream mapping to define &ldquo;As-Is Analysis&rdquo; and the transition to the desired Future State</li> <li>Drive improvements via 5S, visual management, mistake proofing, standard work and other relevant tools</li> <li>Work with Operations Management to compare processes across the organization making recommendations to unify</li> <li>Responsible for training departmental teams regarding approved methods to create standard work</li> <li>Develop a company-wide continuous improvement program</li> <li>Utilize outcome of continuous improvement program to develop recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs while increasing internal and external customer satisfaction</li> <li>Develop and conduct 5S compliance audits and program evaluations to drive results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanent</li> <li>Develop and deliver presentation of findings from 5S Audits to procedure owners, stakeholders and senior management</li> <li>Provide mentoring and support to all team members to bring about the necessary cultural change to deliver sustainable results</li> <li>Collaborate with IT to determine appropriate distribution and storage of standard work</li> <li>Performs related duties and special projects as assigned or as the situation dictates.</li> </ul>
