Supervisor

Overview: Oversees Parts Correspondents who expedite parts orders for customers, technicians and sales department.&nbsp; The Parts Correspondent Supervisor also processes customer (internal and external) orders in an accurate and timely manner utilizing various reference materials such as parts manuals, microfiche, and computer.<strong>&nbsp;</strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Supervises and trains new Parts Correspondents and assists new technicians with the parts ordering function of their job.</li> <li>Researches, reviews and sources parts for customers, technicians and sales department. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Performs extensive phone contact with vendors, customers and technicians.</li> <li>Process orders and bill parts to technician work orders.</li> <li>Checks on backordered parts and communicates status accordingly to expedite orders.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Processes customer, technician, and supplier returns.</li> <li>Orders parts from Raymond factory and outside vendors.</li> <li>Provides answers to technician regarding technical parts questions.</li> <li>Adjust stock levels via ERP system to ensure proper inventory and billing.</li> <li>Processes S-207 requests through Raymond as needed.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintains contact with the public, customers, and other employees for the use of information exchange.</li> <li>Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Knowledge of computer such as keyboard, 10-key, Microsoft Office, and ERP system.</li> <li>Knowledge of lift truck related parts and use of the same.</li> <li>Skilled in customer relations.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Skilled in both written and oral communications within all levels of an organization both internally and externally.</li> <li>Ability to perform research, read manuals and blueprints, and basic mechanical knowledge.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work, and attention to detail.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply reasoning.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>This position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. &nbsp; &nbsp;</li> <li>Incumbent should have a minimum of 3-5 years customer service experience within the material handling industry.&nbsp;</li> <li>General mechanical background and prior phone sales experience required.</li> </ul>
