Overview: <strong>The Business Systems</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Support Specialist &ndash; Technical&rsquo;s primary responsibility is to provide business system technical help desk support. &nbsp;Creates, evaluates and tests new procedures and program updates. Creates support material for training and leads train-the-trainer classes. This position serves as backup for the Business Systems Specialist Support - Contracts as necessary</strong>.
Responsibilities: <ol> <li>Lead role in troubleshooting, testing new patches, software upgrades, and creating the support documentation to aid in training.</li> <li>Use SQL to query database as an aid in solving issues.</li> <li>Creates, evaluates/tests, and documents procedures.</li> <li>Responsible for employee help desk for business systems.</li> <li>Serves as technical liaison between employees and software providers.</li> <li>Responsible business system train-the-trainer training and authoring updates of business system instruction manuals.</li> <li>Designs and conducts train-the-trainer courses, programs, and relevant material to meet company and employee requirements.</li> <li>Travels to branches to conduct scheduled train-the-trainer training sessions when required.</li> <li>Provides support for IT issues and assists with other tasks or projects when required.</li> <li>Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.</li> </ol>
Requirements: <ol> <li>Working knowledge of enterprise-wide business systems.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office products and personal computer operation.</li> <li>SQL query syntax knowledge.</li> <li>Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) and negotiate with all levels of an organization internally and externally.</li> <li>Ability to serve as an individual member of work team.</li> <li>Ability to exhibit a professional demeanor and deliver excellent customer service skills.</li> <li>Exhibit sound analytical troubleshooting skills.</li> <li>Ability to multi-task, be detail oriented and self-motivated.</li> </ol> <p><strong><u>Education and Experience</u>:</strong>&nbsp;This position requires a minimum of at least 3 years prior experience working with business enterprise systems and a high school diploma or GED equivalent.&nbsp; College degree preferred.&nbsp; Experience in developing training materials is required. SQL query syntax knowledge required. Incumbent must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Outlook.&nbsp; SharePoint, Access, PowerPoint and Word preferred.</p>
