Overview: The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for identifying and improving the execution of company processes to improve efficiencies, reduce waste and increase internal and external customer satisfaction while providing leadership, training and support as the company continues to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities: <ul type="disc"> <li>Conduct Raymond Lean Management training/workshops on various topics throughout the organization to drive cultural change</li> <li>Create value stream map or process flow to define the current state and the transition to the desired future state</li> <li>Drive improvements via 5S, visual management, mistake proofing, standard work, and other relevant tools</li> <li>Conduct 5S compliance audits and program evaluations to drive results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanent</li> <li>Deliver presentation of findings from 5S Audits to process owners, stakeholders and senior management</li> <li>Provide mentoring and support to all team members to bring about the necessary cultural change to deliver sustainable results</li> <li>Performs related duties and special projects as assigned or as the situation dictates.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul type="disc"> <li>Self-starter with strong leadership skills with an ability to learn and apply new concepts overcoming obstacles with collaborative change engaging cross-functional teams</li> <li>Strong organizational skills with proven ability to simultaneously conduct multiple projects</li> <li>Excellent communication, presentation, and motivational skills</li> <li>Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills</li> <li>Proven ability to train others while exercising influence without authority</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; MS Visio a plus</li> <li>Occasional travel required</li> </ul>
