Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop curriculum/activities to meet developmental goals and instructional activities</li> <li>Prepare lesson plans and structure daily routine for students</li> <li>Direct Para-Professionals in classroom with daily/weekly job tasks</li> <li>Allocate 90% of time with students teaching daily-life skills</li> <li>Exercise open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff</li> <li>Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis, providing progress reports as required</li> <li>Create and keep records on attendance, accidents, incidents, and other noteworthy events in accordance with program policies</li> <li>Manage student behavior in accordance with outlined guidelines</li> <li>Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom/school campus</li> <li>Ensure safe work practices</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned with Vocational and Day Services when school is not in session</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelors degree preferred</li> <li>Experience working with people with disabilities</li> <li>Ability to build effective/professional relationships with families and students</li> <li>Experience developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum</li> <li>Proven ability to maintain a safe a studious classroom environment</li> <li>Ability to build effective/professional relationships</li> <li>Highly developed oral/written communication</li> <li>Acceptable Background Character Verification</li> <li>Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrate proficiency in computer software applications such as Microsoft Word</li> </ul> <br />
