Overview: <p>We require a self-motivator with a high-level understanding of best practices in adult education.&nbsp; Previous experience delivering supervision,&nbsp;on-the-job training&nbsp;and a proven track record in managing people in&nbsp;a unionized environment is an asset. &nbsp;The candidate&nbsp;will&nbsp;possess strong interpersonal skills&nbsp;and&nbsp;a customer service oriented&nbsp;attitude.&nbsp;&nbsp;Shift flexibility is&nbsp;required.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Reporting to the Manager &ndash; Waterfront Training Centre, the&nbsp;Operations&nbsp;Supervisor, Training Centre is responsible for day-to-day supervision of unionized worksite trainers and for the security of the Waterfront Training Centre.</li> <li>The opportunity to eventually move up to the position of Training and Safety Supervisor with a portfolio that services our terminal customers could be available to the right person.&nbsp;</li> <li>This is a full-time position, with the hours 4:30pm-1:00am Monday-Friday.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Candidates should a hold diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, CRSP certification, or a trades ticket.</li> <li>Ideally should possess&nbsp;appropriate education related to operating equipment or inventory management and teaching adults&nbsp;complemented by&nbsp;3 to 5&nbsp;years&nbsp;of&nbsp;work related experience.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge and experience in health and safety management would be an asset.</li> </ul>
