Overview: <p>The&nbsp; Data Visualization &amp; Reporting Specialist has an infectious enthusiasm to help others see what&rsquo;s possible with data.&nbsp; An integral part of the Data Analytics program, they are responsible for supporting BCMEA&rsquo;s continued progression toward a culture of data-driven decisions by taking a lead role on the DataHelp service desk.</p> <p>The Data Visualization &amp; Reporting Specialist develops and maintains reproducible Tableau reports and dashboards, publishes them to Tableau Server, establishes subscriptions, and drives engagement and data literacy across the organization by always following-up with staff to ensure they know how to use the tools, and to provide any support possible to ensure staff have the information needed to make data-driven decisions and streamline their workflows where possible.</p> <p>The Data Visualization &amp; Reporting Specialist coordinates with the rest of the Data Analytics Program by elevating complex analysis and modeling requests to Data Scientists, and by elevating the creation of customs data views to the Solution Data Architect.&nbsp; The team collaborates by assigning project leadership on a case-by-case basis, so interests and proven proficiency tend to lead to diverse opportunities for analytical work given the breadth of BCMEA&rsquo;s operations.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Deliver &ldquo;how to&rdquo; presentations and sessions to individuals and to groups</li> <li>Design and develop dashboards using data visualization best practices</li> <li>Develop custom reports and publish to Tableau Server upholding Data Analytics program standards</li> <li>Continually look for ways to improve data collection and reporting; ensuring stakeholder&rsquo;s needs are met efficiently through centralized data</li> <li>Review report and dashboard usage regularly and follow-up with expected users if usage low in order to make any necessary changes</li> <li>Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and priorities</li> <li>Design and conduct data quality validation and assurance audits to ensure continued completeness and accuracy of data</li> <li>Provide accurate and relevant data to ad hoc information requests</li> </ul>
