Overview: <p>Are you excited about creating great customer experiences?&nbsp; Do you love to solve complex problems?</p> <p>The BCMEA is looking for a <strong><u>Business/QA Analyst</u></strong> who can help the development team deliver great products that provide value to our customers.&nbsp; This role will work with a product team to define the product and also perform quality assurance duties to ensure requirements are met.&nbsp; This hybrid role will be a very important in developing the next generation of our application and services.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li><strong>Requirements Gathering:</strong> Use various techniques including interviews, workshops, document analysis, observational research, needs analysis, business process modeling, workflow analysis, etc to gather requirements.</li> <li><strong>Analysis &amp; Specification:</strong> Develop and maintain clear and concise functional requirements, user stories, wireframes, flow chart diagrams, etc to help the team understand what to build</li> <li><strong>Collaborate: </strong>Work with product team to make product decisions, prioritize product backlog, manage scope of releases, support the team and help remove &nbsp;roadblocks</li> <li><strong>Quality Assurance:</strong> Be part of the team&rsquo;s quality assurance process including writing test cases and performing functional test; document and report defects, triage bugs with product team.</li> <li><strong>Training:</strong> Develop training material and deliver training sessions to users</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst</li> <li>2+ year of Quality Assurance experience including formulating and performing test plans to ensure functional and user requirements are met</li> <li>Excellent all around communications skills</li> <li>Degree in computer science, business administration or equivalent discipline</li> <li>Solid understanding of different business process modeling techniques</li> <li>Firm grasp of user-centered design, service design, experience design</li> <li>Understanding of usability challenges from various application interfaces including mobile browsers and mobile native devices</li> <li>Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean methodology</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Team oriented;</strong> Work harmoniously with the others and engaged in continuous improvements of our systems, processes and culture.</li> <li><strong>Customer first attitude;</strong> You strive to satisfy the customer and are eager to learn why and how they perform their duties.</li> <li><strong>Systems thinker;</strong> You can visualize the overall picture and see how pieces fit together.</li> <li><strong>Attention to details;</strong> You often catch missing elements when discussing user stories and ask follow up questions to clarify the details.</li> <li><strong>Self-motivated; </strong>Always looking for opportunities to improve yourself and the environment around you.</li> <li><strong>Learner;</strong> Grasps new concepts and diagnose problems quickly.
