Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our team on a one-year contract. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, with a strong focus on general ledger analysis and transaction coding.
Responsibilities: &bull; Meticulously review transactions to ensure accuracy and correct all detected discrepancies and errors<br data-start="515" data-end="518" /> &bull; Prepare financial reports and ad hoc reports that support business decisions<br data-start="596" data-end="599" /> &bull; Monitor departmental and program budgets<br data-start="641" data-end="644" /> &bull; Serve as backup support for Accounts Payable<br data-start="690" data-end="693" /> &bull; Perform other duties as required to support the finance team
Requirements: &bull; Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or a related field<br data-start="846" data-end="849" /> &bull; Proven experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of general ledger systems and financial accounting principles<br data-start="973" data-end="976" /> &bull; Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills<br data-start="1038" data-end="1041" /> &bull; Proficiency in financial reporting tools and Microsoft Excel<br data-start="1103" data-end="1106" /> &bull; Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities<br data-start="1168" data-end="1171" /> &bull; Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
