Overview: <p>The Operations Analyst performs operational assessments to identify actions and opportunities for improvement, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of BCMEA&rsquo;s training programs.</p> <p>This is a <strong>hybrid role</strong>, with <strong>one optional work-from-home day per week</strong>.</p> <p>We are currently hiring for a <strong>12-month contract</strong> for this opportunity.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide weekly analytical assessments from qualitative and quantitative sources of information to make recommendations to the Operations Supervisor and Manager on training program management (e.g., helping respond to shortage trends).</li> <li>Perform core competencies, such as raising ratings, entering payroll, and performing vetting.</li> <li>Be the central point of contact for all training program management details, such as understanding the number of trainees in the programs and approved and denied statuses.</li> <li>Having a close working relationship with BCMEA Dispatch to understand the supply/demand dynamics in the industry to ensure the Operations Supervisor is aware of the training activities that can improve industry supply (e.g., which programs to prioritize intakes for)</li> <li>Recommending opportunities for improvement to BCMEA systems.</li> <li>Producing the slide deck that gets shown to BCMEA Management at co-management meetings.</li> <li>Tracking Workforce Planning Dashboard information.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>1 to 3 years of Operations experience in a fast-paced and complex unionized work environment.</li> <li>Undergraduate degree or college diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a related field.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and data fluency to inform data-based decisions.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate with multi-faceted teams, employees, and stakeholders.</li> <li>Ability to leverage conflict resolution and a solutions-driven mindset to calmly respond and resolve emergency situations.</li> <li>Proficient with a variety of computer programs and systems, such as Microsoft 365.</li> <li>Foundational conceptual understanding of coding, finance, accounting, and operations management.</li> </ul>
