Responsibilities: <p><strong data-redactor-tag="strong">What you will be doing:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Safely operate ready-mix truck with timely deliveries and order accuracy</li> <li>Complete routine maintenance of equipment, including reporting minor mechanical issues timely and thorough cleanliness of unit daily</li> <li>Contribute to keeping areas in and around the plant clean and hazard free</li> <li>Comply with BURNCO policies and local, state, and federal regulations including DOT and company driving requirements</li> <li>Complete required paperwork such as proper pre-trip/post-trip inspections (DVIRs) and work orders</li> <li>Escalate concerns to supervisor</li> <li>Cross train as needed</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong data-redactor-tag="strong">Reality of the Job:</strong></p> <ul> <li>You might work long hours during peak times</li> <li>You will work most Saturdays, especially during peak season</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong data-redactor-tag="strong">What we would like from you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to maintain proper attendance while working irregular hours, including scheduled Saturdays</li> <li>Ability to work from other BURNCO plants based on business needs</li> <li>Ability to pass PSP, MVR, background check, drug test and physical assessment</li> <li>Ability to manage emotions in stressful or frustrating situations</li> <li>Ability to learn the various ready-mix designs and material components such as admixtures, slump/water ratios, and concrete properties/consistencies</li> <li>Commitment to safety, customer service and teamwork</li> <li>23+ years old with valid CDL license preferred</li> <li>2 years ready-mix or 1-year commercial driving experience</li> <li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred</li> <li>FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration <ul> <li><a href="https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/Register">https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/Register</a></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <br />
