Overview: BURNCO Aggregate Division is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician based out of our Edmonton Area Aggregate Division. The Quality Assurance Technician position is a full-time seasonal position and is responsible for the collection and testing of daily aggregate production samples to industry standards. A test report is then prepared with the gradation results of the samples which are compared to the appropriate specifications. Results are to be submitted to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Plant Foreman for review.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Collection of production samples</li> <li>Complete required aggregate testing</li> <li>Analyzing test results</li> <li>Complete and submit reports to operations and QA personnel</li> <li>Perform inspections of testing materials and equipment</li> <li>Participate in safety meetings</li> <li>Perform stockpile inspections</li> <li>Other duties assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Suitable Candidates must meet the following requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.</li> <li>Have a valid minimum Class 5 driver&rsquo;s license</li> <li>Must be willing to work overtime and nightshift as required</li> <li>Willing to work out of town</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous aggregate testing experience would be considered an asset</li> <li>Candidates who have, or are working towards a C.E.T. designation</li> <li>Ability to work in a team atmosphere and follow instructions</li> <li>Be highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision</li> <li>Must have excellent communication skills</li> </ul>
