Overview: <br />The OneCard and Parking Assistant supports the daily management of the OneCard and Parking Management Office under the direction of the One Card and Parking Manager. Specifically responsible for oversight of all Parking Management and OneCard production. The position will be expected to learn and maintain databases and systems related to the OneCard program (e.g. CBORD, CCure, IDworks) and parking management (T2 Parking Management System); assisting with the preparation of monthly reporting, invoicing, deposits, and journal entries pertaining to use of the OneCard with snack and beverage vending machines (Foley, Pepsi), Food Service (Chartwells), Copy Center (Canon), Mail Room, and UGryd (Off-Campus merchants).
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Responsible for the management of all Parking Management needs including permit registration and distribution, parking appeals and billing, and management of parking-related communications and requests.</li> <li>Manages the parking management office which includes coordinating all communications and online parking registration and distribution of parking permits; overseeing the issuance of all specialized parking permits for faculty, staff, students, guests, and visitors; maintaining and responding to parking clerk email inquiries, and serving as the primary person responsible for parking ticket appeals.</li> <li>Cross-train and support all duties and responsibilities assigned to the Manager of the OneCard and Parking Office. This includes maintaining all databases and systems that relate to the OneCard; leading all new initiatives as they relate to the OneCard including the management and oversight of the CBord dining system, lost card replacement program, and the off-campus merchant program; and assessing the needs of the Babson OneCard as well as any cards that will be used on campus for various purposes.</li> <li>Process student, faculty, staff, and affiliate identification cards as required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Generate and coordinate schedules for ID processing events. &nbsp;</li> <li>Assist with maintaining records, updating procedures, managing inventories of supplies, and scheduling maintenance of OneCard equipment. &nbsp;</li> <li>Assists other departments and external vendor partners with the integration of OneCard technology into their business processes which includes the implementation of card readers, collecting cash, invoicing, reporting, monitoring usage, and verifying data.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assists with managing the OneCard relationship with vendor partners and serves as the secondary contact, including problem resolution, payment operations, invoices and reports, and troubleshooting systems as needed.</li> <li>Works in association with all pertinent offices and space managers in the management and oversight of the Babson Door Access control system and clearance requests. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Assists with the development and implementation of comprehensive campus marketing and promotional strategies for the OneCard office.</li> <li>Responsible for assisting in coordinating project management and ability to work closely with partners on campus such as Facilities, ITSD, Housing, Food Services, Student Financial Services, and Procurement.</li> <li>Keeps up to date with trends in the campus card industry to ensure that Babson is in line with technology and smart card solutions.</li> <li>Responsible for student parking violation billing through Student Financial Services and direct billing to faculty, staff, and visitors.</li> <li>Manages the T2 Parking Management System software and maintains all handheld ticket issuing equipment.</li> <li>Assumes additional responsibilities as required.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /><strong>Supervises:<br /></strong><br />Student interns<br /><br /><br /><strong>Education Requirements:<br /></strong><br />Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree<br /><br /><br /><strong>Position Knowledge/Skills &amp; Abilities Requirements:<br /></strong><br /> <ul> <li>At least 2-4 years of similar experience.</li> <li>Working knowledge of printing/copying and OneCard equipment.</li> <li>Experience with some of these systems is preferred, but not required: database management, ID Works, CBORD, MS-Office, Parking Management system.</li> <li>Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, and faculty.</li> <li>Strong communication and customer service skills.</li> <li>Knowledge of equipment and OneCard-related machine maintenance contracts.</li> <li>Strong management skills.</li> <li>Basic accounting skills.</li> <li>Envisions and proposes new methods to perform tasks that support ET&amp;A; takes thoughtful risks; and accepts new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.</li> <li>Anticipates and embraces change; demonstrates willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><br /><strong>Working Conditions:<br /></strong><br /> <ul> <li>May be required to respond to various locations on campus for OneCard and Parking related issues.</li> <li>Position may be required to work off-hours on a regular basis or during certain times of the year and fill in on an on-call basis as needed.</li> <li>Must have had a valid unrestricted U.S. Driver&rsquo;s License for one year, and maintain throughout employment an insurable (as determined by the College&rsquo;s insurer&rsquo;s criteria) or a satisfactory driving record; must successfully complete and pass the College&rsquo;s vehicle training program within the first 60 days of employment; annual or more frequent review of employee&rsquo;s driving record based on the College insurer&rsquo;s criteria; and safety training as required by management.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><br /><strong>Additional Experience, Skills &amp; Abilities:<br /></strong><br /> <ul> <li>Certification in CCURE 9000 system and CBORD Odyssey PCS Management system preferred.</li> <li>Experience in project management preferred.</li> </ul>
