Overview: <br />The Associate Director, Business Development is responsible for developing and leading revenue-generating activities for the Department of Athletics and Recreation through the utilization of Athletics facilities and other available spaces as appropriate. Works closely with colleagues in Athletics and across campus to maximize revenue generation for Athletics among internal and external constituents.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Utilizes athletics facilities (and other campus properties when appropriate) to develop a year-round rental and event program to maximize all current revenue streams and enhance overall revenue generation. Constructs rental and event agreements, and oversees all billing and record keeping. Works closely with the Assistant Director for Athletics Facilities to identify potential new clients and revenue sources, determine which to pursue, and negotiate contracts with clients.</li> <li>Ensures maintenance of client lists and accurate records, and establishes annual forecasts of all activities. Makes recommendations for growth opportunities to the Senior Director.</li> <li>Establishes memberships in local business and community clubs and organizations, as well as regional and national associations. Represents the College at local business events and national conferences to develop new business leads.</li> <li>Works with the Senior Director to develop a corporate partners program, and is responsible for day-to-day program execution to deliver incremental revenue to the department.</li> <li>Manage and stay within assigned budget, including revenue goals and expenditures.</li> <li>Coordinates with the Senior Associate Director to ensure appropriate and effective usage of all Green Athletics Complex/Athletics Facilities spaces</li> <li>Work closely with the General Manager, Skating Rink to identify potential new revenue opportunities.</li> <li>Establishes and maintains a relationship with national associations and organizations to keep abreast of best practices regarding revenue generation for athletics properties. Works with the Assistant Director of Athletics Facilities Operations and the Assistant Director for Fitness and Recreation in the development and maintenance of relationships with regional organizations.</li> <li>Responsible for oversight of select sports programs including assisting coaches and student-athletes with issues and concerns, counseling individuals, and providing high-level program oversight and guidance on a regular basis to ensure sports programs are maximizing their potential.</li> <li>Serves on standing ad hoc committees directly or indirectly related to Athletics.</li> <li>Assumes additional responsibilities as required.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>YOUR TEAM WILL INCLUDE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Head Coaches (1-2)</li> <li>Coordinator, Business Development and Facilities Operations</li> <li>Student Workers</li> </ul>
