Part time

Overview: <br />We are seeking a part-time workshop trainer to facilitate financial literacy workshops offered to young adults in community colleges, nonprofits, and high schools. The ideal candidate will be creative and resourceful, must be able to engage effectively with young adults, and be comfortable with technology and teaching in Zoom. Demonstrated excellence in teaching or training is required, and a solid understanding of financial principles is a must.<br /><br />The workshop trainer will facilitate workshops to both inspire and educate participants on important financial principles. They will need to gain a rapid understanding of our materials and online delivery approach. Workshops typically range from one to one and one-half hours and are typically conducted in the afternoon or evening. The format includes an overview of the financial topics, case discussion, videos, and pre- and post-workshop polling.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Develop a strong understanding of workshop materials and online teaching models.</li> <li>Help young adults gain important financial skills through workshops and foster a mindset to become financially responsible.</li> <li>Engage participants so they will apply financial concepts to their daily lives.</li> <li>Measure program results with surveys and polling.</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with BFLP team to maximize workshop effectiveness.</li> <li>Provide feedback on workshops in the spirit of continuous improvement.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>Qualifications:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Education, Finance, or a related field</li> <li>A minimum of three years in teaching or training</li> <li>Demonstrated excellence in teaching or training</li> <li>Experience in the financial services industry and/or knowledge of personal finance</li> <li>Proficiency in PowerPoint, Google Apps (Docs, Slides, Sheets), and Zoom</li> <li>Self-starter with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Must have a strong ability to connect with diverse learners</li> <li>Commitment to the mission and vision of The Babson Financial Literacy Project</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong> $50 per hour.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Hours:</strong> Workshops are run in the afternoon and evening, and we expect the trainer to run up to twenty workshops per year. Hours will build over time as more workshops are offered.</p>
