Overview: <br />The Community &amp; Engagement Coordinator, Entrepreneurial Leadership Village plays a pivotal role, and will be the primary driver to nurture and further develop a vibrant multi-faceted ELV Community. In partnership with the Vice President, Innovation and the Director, Innovation Program this role will help to develop a fulsome Community strategy and then execute specific activities in alignment with the plan.<br /> <br />The Entrepreneurial Leadership Village is a Living Learning Community that strengthens Babson&rsquo;s impact on ecosystems everywhere as an amplification platform to scale thought leadership and action across. The ELV fosters widespread understanding and application of the principles and tools of Entrepreneurial Leadership. It is the embodiment of the Strategic Plan: Entrepreneurial Leadership Impacting Ecosystems Everywhere, to increase learner success to deliver simultaneous economic, social, and environmental value.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Responsible for building and strengthening ELV community engagement, on campus and online.</li> <li>Responsible for the daily administration and operational support of the ELV Community including community-building activities, collaborative events, and necessary routine maintenance (e.g., communicating to members, responding to member outreach, meeting with members and partners, etc.).</li> <li>Under the Vice President and Director, Innovation Program lead the overall development, planning, and implementation of programming for the ELV Living &amp; Learning Community in collaboration with C&amp;I and Student Life.</li> <li>Manage various online spaces such as discussion boards, chats, social media, and WebEx/Zoom meetings; serve as the host for some of these programs; monitor daily questions, moderate discussion boards, and be in constant communication with individuals in the ELV community.</li> <li>Develop strong productive relationships with students and campus partners including The Blank School, Centers &amp; Institutes, College Marketing, Student Life, and Events Management.&nbsp;</li> <li>Act as the &ldquo;true source&rdquo; of important data and continually look for ways to measure impact across a variety of paradigms including engagement, reach, etc.; keep the ELV web presence up to date.</li> <li>Assist in the evaluation of Community strategy activities against set metrics and report on those metrics. Where needed, research, develop, and propose new ways to enhance, expand, engage, and retain Community.</li> <li>Support the ELV Leadership Circle offering by maintaining membership pipeline, dues processing, event and content support.</li> <li>Assist with logistics, communications, and event planning for Community specific and collaborative events.</li> <li>Partner on other relevant projects/initiatives as assigned in the Office of Innovation including certain projects and events related to the physical construction of the ELV.</li> <li>Assume additional responsibilities as required.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>YOUR TEAM WILL INCLUDE</strong></p> <p>Student Worker(s) including ELV Living &amp; Learning peer mentors and Student Program Coordinator</p>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li><strong>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree</strong>&nbsp;</li> <li>A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience</li> <li>Ability to have an entrepreneurial mindset and/or entrepreneurial leadership skills.</li> <li>Must have a strong desire to grow a multifaceted Community - including those participating in a virtual capacity and the ability to complete the necessary related support tasks enthusiastically</li> <li>Must have strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across the organization, and build enthusiasm for participation</li> <li>Must have community-building skills and experience</li> <li>Strong knowledge of social media (including Instagram, LinkedIn) and high comfort level with driving a social media strategy in accordance with College guidelines</li> <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively across the Babson campus.</li> <li>Ability to think creatively and analytically; and comfortable with ambiguity</li> <li>Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)</li> <li>Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support Entrepreneurial Thought &amp; Action; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results</li> <li>Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.</li> <li>Must have excellent prioritization, planning, and organizing skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and proactively.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>All Babson College faculty and staff authorized to work on campus must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">including any appropriate boosters</a>.
