Overview: The Program Coordinator leads all aspects of events for both the Corporate Relations and Career Education teams, comprising approximately 100 events annually attended by over 2800 students and numerable corporate partners, alumni, and community members. This position involves extensive collaboration with corporate partners, campus partners, community partners, College Marketing, and student organizations to plan and implement timely, regular programming and ensure a high-level of engagement. Under the direction of the Senior Associate Director of Corporate Development &amp; Strategic Operations, manages improvement efforts and implementation of new initiatives for the Hoffman Family Undergraduate Career Center.
Responsibilities: <div> <ul> <li>Manage the comprehensive calendar of events offered by the Hoffman Family Undergraduate Career Center, coordinating across the Corporate Relations and Career Education teams to ensure appropriate cadence across the academic year and to maximize opportunities for student, corporate partner, and community partner engagement. Supports Strategic Operations in data collection and event assessment to facilitate continuous improvement efforts.</li> <li>Coordinate marketing materials with regular postings and event promotion targeting students and employers as needed.</li> <li>Manage the Employer-in-Residence Program by developing agendas, reserving locations, developing marketing strategy, and assessing employer satisfaction and student experience.</li> <li>Supports and coordinates the logistics for the On-Campus Interview Program by approving employer requests via Handshake, reserving locations, developing marketing strategy, and assessing employer satisfaction and student experience.</li> <li>Manage event approvals in Handshake and promote those events to students in addition to CCD hosted events.</li> <li>Collaborate with the Career Education team for pre-event workshop and resource content, scheduling, and promotion. Identify and engage appropriate faculty and campus partners for co-sponsorship of events and support.</li> <li>Develop targeted employer prospect lists for Corporate Relations team using online, print, and personal referral resources.</li> <li>Maintain relationships with employer partners through phone, email, and virtual and in-person meetings as assigned.</li> <li>Support employer in all aspects of event participation including registrations, invoices, payments, and receipts, as assigned. Maintains and tracks documentation of all budget expenses for events, fairs, programs, and reports overall expenses to leadership team.</li> <li>Provide and coordinate staffing support at large-scale programs and events such as orientation, family weekend, career fairs, and recruiting and networking events.</li> <li>Complete special projects as assigned which may include research, benchmarking, brainstorming, and assessing employer engagement programs, tools, and strategies.</li> <li>Assume additional responsibilities as required.</li> </ul> </div>
Requirements: <p><strong>WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or related experience.</strong></li> <li>A <strong>minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience.</strong></li> <li>Must have <strong>strong communication and teamwork skills.</strong></li> <li>Must have <strong>strong organization and project management skills. Able to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously. Must have strong attention to detail. </strong></li> <li>Must have <strong>strong customer service skills.</strong></li> <li>Ability to maintain high standards of ethical conduct when working with students, staff, faculty, and confidential information.</li> <li>Must have a demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse and inclusive student body, faculty, staff, and other constituents.</li> <li>Must <strong>have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to engage and build effective relationships </strong>with internal and external constituents.</li> <li>Must be a <strong>team player </strong>and can <strong>establish creditability and confidence </strong>with stakeholders.</li> <li>Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&amp;A; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.</li> <li>Ability to <strong>anticipate </strong>and <strong>embrace change</strong>; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.</li> <li>Must have <strong>strong computer skills </strong>including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) as well as Google (docs, sheets, and slides).</li> </ul> <strong><br /><br />HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK<br /></strong><br /> <ul> <li>Some early mornings and/or evenings and occasional weekends.</li> <li>Hybrid work schedule with 2 days remote and increased remote flexibility based on time of year and position/program needs.</li> <li>Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business or related field preferred.</li> <li>1-3 years of experience in career services or human resources.</li> <li>Experience organizing small, medium, and large-scale events preferred.</li> <li>Familiarity with Handshake and/or other career services management systems preferred.</li> </ul>
