Overview: The Director of Product Marketing, Diversified Channels will lead the product management team in launching new high-growth products and scaling the existing product portfolio across paint, primer, and specialty &amp; adjacency categories. The successful candidate will take a strategic approach and will partner well with cross-functional teams including counterparts in Sales, Channel Marketing, Supply Chain, R&amp;D, Finance, Sales Operations, and Marketing Shared Services Teammates Brands and Campaigns, Graphics, eCommerce, PR, and Visual Merchandising. Reporting to the VP, Marketing, the Director handles the day-to-day supervision of all aspects of product development for Diversified Channels.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Lead professional development of Product Managers.</li> <li>Lead product for the full portfolio of coatings products and brands sold in leading home improvement retailers.</li> <li>Lead the product team in innovative product development and pipeline strategy to support the brand's strategic direction</li> <li>Collaborate on crafting a product marketing strategy, including product roadmap, cross-functional New Product Development Process, product launch process, and go-to-market strategy</li> <li>Analyze white space opportunities based on findings from consumer and account insights, social listening, third-party and industry data, and market trends</li> <li>Ensure the product team remains up to date on the competitive and market landscape, including competitor strengths and weaknesses, market trends, and changing customer needs</li> <li>Work with product managers, R&amp;D, and legal on claims validation and testing strategy</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience</li> <li>7-10 years of increasing responsibility in marketing or product development</li> <li>5-7 years experience in product management or related roles</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail</li> <li>Results-oriented, with strong organizational skills, project management skills, and the ability to multi-task</li> <li>Proven track record of leadership, including hiring, running, and developing a team</li> <li>An analytical and data-based approach when making decisions</li> <li>Strong storytelling skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Knowledge of sophisticated features of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and a solid understanding of, or ability to learn, key functions of SAP</li> <li>Ability to conduct research and translate results into impactful strategies</li> <li>Ability to identify and interpret market trends and analytics</li> </ul>
