Overview: The Retail Experience team is responsible for the in-store experience and visual merchandising for BEHR and KILZ coatings brands. We procure in-store color selection tools (color chips, brochures), promotional items, signage, and displays. We are focused on creating programs that will help consumers more easily find their color, enjoy their in-store experience, and increase sales. This Manager role is responsible for the KILZ Diversified Channels segment. The successful candidate will be strong in project management, creativity, relationship building, finance, strategic thinking, and decision making.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Manage the planning, development, and implementation of visual merchandising programs through coordination of internal resources and overseeing efforts of 3rd party vendors. Assume responsibility to resolve any cost, schedule, service or quality issues and keep stakeholders informed of progress.</li> <li>Follow retail trends, analyze category and use insights to recommend tools and programs that give target segments a best-in-class experience</li> <li>Provide input for the department budget on an annual basis and provide variance reports and explanations on a monthly basis.</li> <li>Accountable for internal alignment on order quantity decisions, specifications, scopes of work, timelines, and transportation plans. </li> <li>Partner with our Buyers and Inventory Analysts to ensure the best available pricing for sales aids and programs is negotiated. </li> <li>Possess a high standard of quality and the ability to see and address gaps in production quality or workmanship.</li> <li>Contribute original and unique approaches and techniques.</li> <li>Create and publish project cost summaries, overviews, and post-mortems.</li> <li>Coordinate size and specifications of sales tools to ensure they are easy to shop, efficient to produce and service, fit in the in-store fixture, contain the right message, and provide the desired consumer experience.</li> <li>Listen, communicate, and collaborate extensively across the organization. Foster strong relationships with co-workers, internal and external customers, suppliers, and support teams. </li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, retail, or agency</li> <li>Experience organizing projects from start to finish</li> <li>Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint</li> </ul> <br /><strong>KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR THE POSITION:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Knowledge of visual merchandising design and development and/or print production</li> <li>Ability to complete projects with accuracy and attention to detail</li> <li>Ability to manage through ambiguity</li> <li>Ability to frame a problem from many angles and resolve it proactively</li> <li>Strong collaboration skills, personable, able to navigate structure and create relationships</li> <li>Ability to clearly articulate design ideas and expectations both verbally and via written creative brief</li> <li>Ability to take on additional responsibility such as budget and direct reports</li> <li>An interest in color, design, and/or home d&eacute;cor is a plus</li> </ul> <br /><strong>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>May require occasional travel.</li> </ul>
