Overview: <ul> <li>Purchase raw materials, packaging, or finished goods from Behr&rsquo;s supplier base supporting multiple plants and/or distribution centers.</li> <li>Manage and monitor appropriate component inventory to support planned production schedules.</li> <li>Support Manufacturing, <u>particularly on the weekend</u> with any production-related questions/support for the Chicago team and other off-site manufacturing teams as needed: converting batches, confirming Bill of Materials, supplier follow-ups.</li> <li>Ensure Finished Goods stock levels support 100% Fill Rate expectations (right product, at the right time, at the right DC). Which may include working with suppliers to address shortages.</li> <li>Working safely is part of our culture and is a condition of employment.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Purchase packaging and/or raw materials as required to support the plant production schedule.</li> <li>Keep current on the status of purchase orders and maintain a professional and effective working relationship with suppliers.</li> <li>Support Manufacturing, particularly on the weekend with any production-related questions/support: converting batches, confirming Bill of Materials, supplier follow-ups.</li> <li>Support packaging requests from Sales which will include coordination of material requests from various Manufacturing plants or Distribution centers to arrive at a set location by a particular due date.</li> <li>Work with production and quality departments and suppliers to resolve any quality non-conformances.</li> <li>Stay current on pricing and supplier sourcing changes with Master Data updates in SAP.</li> <li>Work with Accounts Payable and supplier as necessary to address invoice and/or receiving discrepancies.</li> <li>Ensure Finished Goods stock levels support 100% Fill Rate expectations (right product, at the right time, at the right DC). Which may include working with suppliers to address shortages.</li> <li>Prepare network-wide reports on areas such as weeks of supply, production output, inventory classifications, and product transitions.</li> <li>Work closely with Manufacturing, Distribution, and Supply Chain to ensure inventory reporting is timely and accurate.</li> <li>Work with plant personnel on timely receipt of deliveries and/or shipments to other facilities.</li> <li>Research and correct discrepancies and perform root causes.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p dir="LTR"><strong><span class="WFV2">EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Educational attainment equivalent to Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field.</li> <li>Experience involving inventory control, component purchasing and materials management using ERP/MRP such as SAP or Oracle</li> <li>Strong Excel skills including v-lookup, if-then statements and Pivot tables</li> <li>APICS CPIM Certification preferred. <ul> <li>APICS CPIM Certification required: pass module 1 within first year and obtain full certification within 3 years of hire. (This is a company sponsored certification plan.)</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><strong><span class="WFV2">KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to work non-traditional schedule: Thursday &ndash; Monday</li> <li>ERP experience preferred (particularly SAP)</li> <li>Proficiency with computerized inventory control systems, MRP and BOMs</li> <li>Knowledge of MS Office Suites. In particular, strong Excel skills including the ability to create complex spreadsheets leveraging v-lookup, if-then statements, and Pivot tables</li> <li>Strong data mining, analytical, and decision-making skills</li> <li>Organizational and time management skills</li> <li>Excellent written &amp; oral communication skills; good presentation skills</li> <li>Experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or distribution center</li> </ul>
