Overview: Analyze review and make decisions around the purchasing of raw materials, packaging, and purchased finished goods as needed. Do so effectively and efficiently as to contribute to maintaining or improving key metrics.<br />Provide analytics, insight, and support with respect to Supply Chain network optimization, includes ad-hoc analysis as well as &ldquo;what if&rdquo; scenario planning. Compile results, present findings, and provide cost saving/metric improving recommendations to Supply Chain team members, Supply Chain leadership, Operations leadership, and Executive leadership.<br />Provide support as needed to other functional areas in Supply Chain (i.e. Demand Planning, Master Data, or Supply Planning teams).
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Review demand and make purchase decisions related to raw materials, packaging, and purchased finished goods.</li> <li>Monitor inventory levels in distribution centers, identify, analyze and review opportunities to contribute to the attainment of key metrics related to inventory turns and fill rate.</li> <li>Review alerts perform ad-hoc analysis and take action as necessary to maintain fill rates.</li> <li>Develop and maintain <span class="WOK2">relationships/contacts</span> with key suppliers.</li> <li>Perform analysis using Behr&rsquo;s SAP IBP (integrated business planning) Supply Chain network optimization software. Which includes: <ul> <li>Maintain and update master data in IBP as needed and manage IBP versions and scenarios to ensure data integrity in the system.</li> <li>Provide detailed analytics around supply chain network optimization at the request of other supply chain team members, supply chain leadership, or operations leadership individuals. Includes ad-hoc and &ldquo;what if&rdquo; scenario planning as requested.</li> <li>Analyze and report/present findings and provide recommendations for improvement.</li> <li>Track and report actual results for TCP (Total Cost Productivity) reporting.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Provide support to the Supply Chain Channel support team as requested or needed. Could include; tracking new product or customer launches, ensuring existing items are planning <span class="WOK2">correctly/accurately,</span> and/or communicating with internal customers on key business initiatives.</li> <li>Provide support to the Supply Chain Demand Planning team as requested or needed. Could include; forecasting responsibility, forecasting analytics, and/or communication with key internal or external customers on key business initiatives.</li> <li>Develop presentations for senior management and lead projects as assigned.</li> <li>Work on or provide support on other ad-hoc analytics as requested.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Experience / Education</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Educational attainment equivalent to 4-year degree (BA/BS)</li> <li>1-3 years experience in Supply Chain planning, forecasting, and strategy</li> <li>SAP experience preferred &ndash; SCM, BW/BI, Business Objects, IBP knowledge a huge plus</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Knowledge / Skills / Abilities</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Strong quantitative analytical skills</li> <li>Strong data assimilation skills</li> <li>Advanced PC skills including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word</li> <li>Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills</li> <li>Ability to work with various functional disciplines that interact with the supply chain department</li> <li>Must attain CPIM certification within the first 3 years of employment</li> <li>Facilitation skills in leading meetings of various business disciplines</li> </ul>
