Overview: <p><strong>Reports to: </strong>Director of Communications and General Manager</p> <p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full time</p> <p><strong>Hours</strong>: 40 hours per week (may include some weekends and evenings)<br /><br />The ideal candidate must be able to fulfill the mission of the Birmingham Athletic Club by providing exceptional member and customer service and maintaining professionalism at all times. The ideal candidate will be comfortable speaking to and interacting with club membership, vendors and visitors. The candidate must be friendly, outgoing, personable, able to multi-task and willing to take direction. The candidate must be able to work some evening and weekend hours.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Welcomes members and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering questions and referring inquiries to the appropriate person</li> <li>Answers phones and directs calls to the appropriate person</li> <li>Takes dining reservations via phone and Internet and maintains reservation book</li> <li>Maintains safe and clean front desk area</li> <li>Performs general office tasks such as copying, mailing, laminating, etc.</li> <li>Directs members and visitors by maintaining employee directory</li> <li>Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Director of Communications and/or General Manager</li> </ul>
