Reporting to the Engagement Specialist, you&rsquo;ll help residents participate in meaningful programs and assist with events which enrich the daily lives of our residents.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Work with seniors to bring stimulating&nbsp;activities and joy to&nbsp;each day: walking programs, cooking classes, pet visits, artistic expressions, gardening, book clubs, movie night, scenic drives, etc., the possibilities are endless!</li> <li>Complete Resident Interest Worksheets for all new residents within 7 days of move-in.</li> <li>Orient residents to the engagement program and available opportunities.</li> <li>Follow scheduled activities with minimal changes; assist in arranging entertainment within budget.</li> <li>Promote all programs to maximize resident participation.</li> <li>Support quarterly events that may also serve as marketing opportunities.</li> <li>Help organize resident outings, including trips, medical visits, and destination activities.</li> <li>Assist with transportation and mobility during outings.</li> <li>Assist with food and drinks at meal times.</li> <li>Keep areas clean and free of clutter.</li> <li>Ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others, following Safety Committee standards.</li> <li>Foster teamwork, take initiative, and support coworkers, residents, and visitors.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred in Social Services, Business, or related field.</li> <li>Prefer three years&rsquo; experience in assisted living and/or memory care setting.</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.</li> <li>Valid driver's license preferred.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and community relations skills.</li> <li>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance.</li> <li>Ability to talk, hear, and use vision effectively.</li> <li>Occasional weekend, evening, or night work and on-call as needed.</li> <li>Possible exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, latex, and other hazards.</li> <li>Ability to lift and assist residents or equipment as needed, up to 50 lbs. occasionally.</li> <li>Frequent interaction with coworkers, residents, and vendors.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>Join Milestone to help residents stay engaged, active, and connected every day.</p>
