Overview: The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for managing all daily dining services on property as needed (Restaurant Services, Banquets, Locker Room/Cottage at 13), with a special focus on a la carte dining in the Colt Lounge. Ensuring an exemplary experience for Club Members and their Guests and providing an exceptional work experience for all BHCC staff Members is required.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with staff focusing on the upcoming service.</li> <li>Manage staffing levels in all dining areas on a daily basis.</li> <li>Communicate with the Executive Chef consistently regarding daily specials and flow of service.</li> <li>Develop dynamic training programs for all dining staff with a focus on continued education.</li> <li>In coordination with the General Manager, develop an operating budget for each dining department; after approval, monitors and takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained.</li> <li>Establish and assure that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are consistently utilized in all dining areas.</li> <li>Increase levels of service quality and enhance the overall ambiance of member dining experiences.</li> <li>Attends appropriate Committee meetings and ensures integration and coordination of all social events.</li> <li>Assure that practical orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented.</li> <li>Develop and implement policies and procedures for all dining outlets. </li> <li>Aid in developing wine lists and bottle/glass wine sales promotion programs.</li> <li>Addresses Member and Guest complaints and advises the General Manager about appropriate corrective actions.</li> <li>Participates in the development of new and innovative ways to stimulate Member activities and participation in Club events.</li> <li>Maintain appearance, upkeep, and cleanliness of all dining service outlets. </li> <li>Maintain required records/analytics to help improve the efficiency of the operation.</li> <li>Serve as the direct report to all Food and Beverage line staff (Servers, Server Assistants, Food Runners, Bartenders).</li> <li>Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline all service employees in the department.</li> <li>Develop ongoing professional development and training programs for service staff.</li> </ul> <br /><br />
Requirements: <ul> <li>Ensure that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to, including wage and hour and federal, state, and local laws about alcoholic beverages.</li> <li>Ensure a safe working environment and attitude on all employees in areas of&nbsp;responsibility.</li> <li>Ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, team members, members, and guests of the Club to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.</li> <li>Ensure that all services to members and guests are conducted highly professionally and details per SOPs are followed.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <p>Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
