Responsibilities: <ul> <li>A hands-on, working chef position; daily food production and working alongside staff</li> <li>Work with the executive chef, food and beverage manager and catering and events manager to produce diversified menus in accordance with the club&rsquo;s policy and vision</li> <li>Ensure that &aacute; la carte and banquet food production exceed BHCC member expectations</li> <li>Assist in the presentation of banquets buffet set-up and action station preparedness</li> <li>Establish the working schedule and organize the work in the kitchen</li> <li>Assist in the monitoring of operating costs and budget</li> <li>Maintain highest standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety in all kitchen areas at all time</li> <li>Promote training of kitchen personnel to ensure staff is in position to meet the high expectations of members.</li> <li>Interact with food and beverage managers to ensure the food production is consistent and exceeds the expectations of members</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Proficient in English</li> <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef</li> <li>Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures</li> <li>Excellent record of kitchen and staff management</li> <li>Familiar with industry&rsquo;s best practices</li> <li>High School Diploma</li> <li>Associates Degree in culinary science</li> <li>Servsafe Certified</li> <li>Certified in kitchen sanitation practices</li> <li>CSC certification from ACF preferred</li> </ul>
