Overview: <p>Responsible for providing subcontractor management to increase occupant safety and minimize business operation disruptions for BCBSM construction projects.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide oversight to multiple construction firms and associated contractors working on various BCBSM construction projects, including managing work schedules, tracking project progress and managing resource allocation.</li> <li>Create and maintain project schedule based on overall project plan, milestone goals and deliverables determined by leadership.</li> <li>Proactively communicate and adjust the construction project timeline, as necessary, and coordinate material and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.</li> <li>Ensure all construction projects adhere to all applicable local, state and federal safety and quality laws and guidelines allowing for safe, clean job sites without disruption to the business.</li> <li>Support project waste streams by recycling, donating and disposing of materials.</li> <li>Maintain a daily log for the job site's operations and documenting site conditions and providing status reports to management.</li> <li>Conducts the inspection of completed and in progress construction work.</li> <li>Collaborate with Facilities team members to understand and provide input for construction projects plans and budgets.</li> <li>Minimize the project impact on daily business operations and facility use.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High School Graduate or GED equivalent required.</li> <li>Bachelors degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field preferred.</li> <li>Five years of related construction project experience, including experience managing construction subcontractors.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.</li> <li>Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills required.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively with limited direction in a team environment.</li> <li>Ability to effectively lead and influence others.</li> <li>Knowledge of construction project management and budgeting best practices.</li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of application local, state, and federal construction laws and regulations.</li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of of construction equipment and furniture systems.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -17px; top: -20px;">&nbsp;</div>
