Overview: Responsible for supporting pharmacy communications for BCBSM and BCN pharmacy product marketing by reviewing and editing content for newsletters, presentations, the internal corporate newsletter, webinars, etc. to proactively promote the value of pharmacy programs and products to internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop and edit department communications, within guidelines, to effectively plan, organize and implement Pharmacy&rsquo;s efforts to communicate pharmacy operations and clinical information in a timely manner to key audiences, including: members, providers, employer groups, and internal audiences within BCN and Blue Cross.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and BCBSA mandates.</li> <li>Manage the development, creation, approvals, production, and distribution of articles, letters, brochures, presentations, manuals, and other communications.</li> <li>Manage multiple deadlines within and across projects for multiple communication vehicles.</li> <li>Consult with management and staff on third-party member communications.</li> <li>Support development and updating of BCBSM and BCN pharmacy internal policies and procedures.</li> <li>Represent BCBSM/BCN pharmacy services on workgroups, committees, meetings, and complete associated assignments.</li> </ul> <p>Department Summary / Preferences:</p> <ul> <li>Experience as a proposal writer with a PBM, health plan, or group benefits insurance carrier</li> <li>Take a lead role in writing and coordinating proposal deliverables within set timeframes.</li> <li>Partner with sales and subject matter experts on proposal materials that reflect prospect needs and requirements and company differentiators.</li> <li>Identify RFP risk items and participate in RFP strategy sessions with the RFP response team and executives.</li> <li>Write persuasively and with clarity to convey the strategic direction in RFP responses.</li> <li>Ability to handle multiple proposals simultaneously, operate under pressure, and meet deadlines with strong attention to accuracy and detail.</li> <li>Flexibility to juggle competing priorities and changing conditions in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Complete complex RFP questionnaires using RFPIO software.</li> <li>Contribute to the ongoing development of best practices and streamlining of processes and tools to effectively manage workflow volume.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related discipline is required.</li> <li>Five (5) years or more of progressively responsible communications experience, preferably in Health Care and/or similar experience in a related field.</li> <li>Knowledge of business planning, strategic communications, and judgment to plan and accomplish department or corporate goals.</li> <li>Knowledge of BCBSM and BCN pharmacy products.</li> <li>Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written skills.</li> <li>Ability to exercise independent judgment while working under limited supervision.</li> <li>Ability to comprehend complex company documents, procedures and policies and distill these into easy-to-understand language that supports corporate strategy.</li> <li>Ability to speak effectively before external and internal groups.</li> <li>Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -103px; top: -20.0139px;">&nbsp;</div>
