Overview: <p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Department Summary / Preferences:</strong></p> <p>Responsible for implementing, corporate programs and initiatives dedicated to enhancing health care value.</p> <p>Accountable for and manages the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of long-term project(s) typically spanning two years or more planning to implementation with relatively more complex scope and deliverables that may impact multiple business unit/function or business critical program.</p> <p>Project scope impacts one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Process, system, function, product and/or service. Project span across enterprise. Aligns with enterprise initiatives, multifaceted and strategy.</li> <li>Monitor progress, produce project status reports, timelines, budget reports, project metrics.</li> <li>Plan projects, including the concept, design, planning, project scope, cost and benefits, testing, acceptance, implementation and post-implementation review of project deliverables.</li> <li>Leads cross functional teams comprised of various internal customers and vendor resources. Provide assistance and mentor staff on project management related issues.</li> <li>Lead complex development initiatives. Manage teams and ensure that project resources are utilized in an effective and efficient manner. Ensure project goals are met or exceeded via the facilitation and resolution of barriers prohibiting the progress on projects.</li> <li>Recommend and implement process changes to increase project execution performance. Review system and tools to ensure quality and efficient implementation of development and enhancement efforts.</li> <li>Possess and maintain knowledge of BCBSM business, products, programs (including claims, reimbursement, benefits, provider and program data, networks, etc.), corporate organizational structure (including functional responsibilities),</li> <li>Develop solutions to complex issues and present recommendations to senior management as well as employees at various corporate levels.</li> <li>Anticipate, identify, and resolve challenges in order to fulfill key corporate objectives and respond to the demand of change management and initiate actions needed to plan, organize and control team activities.</li> <li>Independently develop and plan, reports, papers and/or other materials.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Responsible to plan, organize, direct, control, and lead assigned business unit; specialize in development, planning, and leadership; operate within broad objectives to ensure optimum utilization of capital, manpower, and equipment for the assigned business unit.</strong></p> <ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li>Manage activities of a department including but not limited to planning, problem solving, staff development and communication.</li> <li>Execute function/area objectives that support continuous improvement.</li> <li>Manage professional, exempt, and non-exempt non-bargaining and bargaining unit employees. Responsible for special projects and/or problem resolutions.</li> <li>Provide effective and efficient solutions to complex business problems.</li> <li>Provide high level oversight and leadership.</li> <li>Other Duties may be assigned.</li> </ul>
