Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: Responsible for Sales and Marketing functions for the Retail Sales and Marketing Unit (RSMU). Provide sales and marketing services to the Individual Business Unit (IBU) at BCBSM and Senior Health Services (SHS). Manage multiple cost centers to drive an optimal customer acquisition cost while meeting budget recommendations. Also serve as a liaison for the RSMU to other business units, including Health Plan Business, Corporate Marketing, Corporate Communications, Agent Administration, and Customer Service.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <div>Oversee internal sales team&nbsp;and external vendor telesales to ensure proper staffing models for annual Election Period, Open Enrollment Period, and Special Enrollment Period thus optimizing enrollments, service levels, and excellent member experience.</div> </li> <li> <div>Oversee field sales team to maximize agent sales and retention.&nbsp; Also working closely with Managing Agents and General Agents to ensure agent compliance, certification, and training of all agents selling BCBSM Affordable Care Act and Senior Market products.&nbsp; Ensure compliance with Center for Medicare and Medicaid rules and guidelines for marketing materials, enrollment scripting, and agent sales processes.</div> </li> <li> <div>Create and direct strategic marketing plans annually to achieve membership goals with a cost-effective acquisition model. Work closely with Corporate Marketing and Corporate Communications to achieve segment goals.</div> </li> <li> <div>Align with Group Segments to maximize retention of membership through Group-to-Individual (members moving from Group to IBU or SHS plans) and Individual-to-Individual (IBU to SHS).</div> </li> <li> <div>Work closely with Digital Experience and Customer Experience teams to maximize Direct Enrollment and online member experience</div> </li> <li> <div>Maximize enrollment of the uninsured population into IBU products through strategic outreach, community events, and educational seminars</div> </li> <li> <div>Establish goals and objectives that support continuous IBU and SHS membership retention, growth, and improved member experience. Provide regular reports on sales activities, marketing results, and cost-per-sale data.</div> </li> <li> <div>Perform other related duties as required.</div> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li> <div>Bachelor's Degree in related field required, Master's Degree in related field preferred.</div> </li> <li> <div>Eight (8) years of progressively more responsible experience in marketing and insurance sales (internal and external) required with&nbsp;&nbsp;emphasis in the ACA and Medicare markets.</div> </li> <li> <div>If an employee is selling/negotiating a price as part of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the following licenses are required within 90 days of the employee's start date or 90 days from license expiration date: Valid Michigan Accident and Health Insurance License, Valid and unrestricted driver's license is required.</div> </li> <li> <div>Strong understanding of healthcare reform and its current and future implications to IBU and SHS.</div> </li> <li> <div>Strong understanding of the individual market insurance (IBU and SHS) work flows across multiple functions and points of tension.</div> </li> <li> <div>Ability to influence, coordinate, collaborate, align, and lead efforts across a matrix organization.</div> </li> <li> <div>Excellent analytical, organizational, problem resolution, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations.</div> </li> <li> <div>Work effectively in a team environment and closely with all key divisional staff.</div> </li> <li> <div>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.</div> </li> <li> <div>Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.</div> </li> <li> <div>Capability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.</div> </li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -30px; top: 26.7639px;">&nbsp;</div>
