Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: <strong><span style="font-size: small;">Design, build, test, implement, maintain, and optimize the network, telecommunications, desktop, and mobility systems infrastructure and operations.&nbsp; Monitor and optimize the performance of operating systems and applications.&nbsp; Diagnose system failures and take corrective action.&nbsp; Use strong client service orientation to ensure all requests and problems are resolved.&nbsp; Work on one or more initiatives or workgroups&nbsp; to develop/build low to moderately complex systems.&nbsp;</span></strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Work with team members to understand business needs. Analyze and translate business requirements into system specifications.</li> <li>Develop and document systems to meet business requirements. Develop/build, and test technology solutions to meet business requirements. Install, configure, and test technology and infrastructure systems.</li> <li>Maintain existing security capabilities, making recommendations and implementing appropriate up to date security technologies.</li> <li>Create test files and performs system tests.</li> <li>Assist in the deployment of new, modified or enhanced system components or services.</li> <li>Ensure performance meets the present and future needs of the business. Recommend changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability and performance. Analyze metrics to understand performance and identifies opportunities for continuous improvements. Perform Level 3 issue assessment and resolution on systems.</li> <li>Document new or modified functions, modules and test activities/results. Ensure all documentation is delivered according to specified guidelines and on selected media.</li> <li>Provide coaching and mentoring to less-experienced team members.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.</li> <li>3 years of related technology work experience required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES</strong></p> <ul> <li>2 years of root user Linux/Unix systems administration experience preferably in support of middleware systems<strong>.</strong></li> <li>Experienced in the installation and configuration of Apache or IBM IHS web server<strong>.</strong></li> <li>Experienced in the administration, configuration, and deployment of EAR/WAR application files to a managed java container preferably IBM WebSphere<strong>.</strong></li> <li>Candidates with JBoss and WebLogic experience will be considered.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;<strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of products and services.</li> <li>Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing environments</li> <li>Written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with system users and other technical colleagues.</li> <li>Ability to work independently or within a team environment.</li> <li>Analytical thinking skills.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
