Overview: <p><strong>Deliver improvements for the IT organization&rsquo;s processes by establishing, implementing and sustaining a framework for identifying, planning, delivering and supporting IT services to the business. Work with cross-functional IT teams to design, develop and integrate IT processes and procedures utilizing best practices and industry standard frameworks. Work on small to medium sized process improvement initiatives supporting internal IT customer(s)/service(s) and/or one or more low to moderately complex initiatives.</strong></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide data and analysis in support of a process improvement strategy. Contribute to the development and implementation of project plans.</li> <li>Collect requirements to define current processes. Develop well defined processes, policies and procedures with clearly documented accountability for each activity to increase efficiency of processes. Define current/future state process structure.</li> <li>Analyze current processes and interfaces to identify gaps and areas for improvement.</li> <li>Develop process requirements and recommendations for assigned areas/processes. Ensure requirements meet the needs of the business and benefits from improvements will support the cost.</li> <li>Identify areas of improvement for assigned processes/areas of business. Develop recommendations for process improvement, including gap, cost vs. benefit analysis, risks/issues, priority.</li> <li>Document current processes using process mapping tools and techniques. Maintain and update properties of grammar and explanation of process documentation as changes are made or new processes are added.</li> <li>Provide input to the development of plans for new or changed processes while taking into account organizational, cultural and operational requirements. Support change management activities. Communicate change to appropriate stakeholders.</li> <li>Develop templates and tools to implement the process improvement plan for assigned processes/business area. Execute change/improvement solution implementation to specific criteria (e.g., time and budget).</li> <li>Provide monthly metric reports for assigned processes/business areas. Analyze variances and develop recommendations for remedial actions. Continually evaluate the performance of the processes to determine if the processes add value and provide effective, efficient and successful delivery of projects. Identify ways to reuse process information to support other key business activities (e.g., business continuity, controls self-assessment, training and knowledge development, etc.).</li> <li>Conduct training for IT staff and clients to ensure understanding and compliance with framework processes, policies, procedures and expected outcomes.</li> <li>Stay abreast of industry best practices and procedures.</li> <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.</li> <li>Three (3) years of IT and business/industry work experience required.</li> <li>Awareness in areas such as process design, re-engineering, and organizational transformation preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Documents current IT EIOS technical processes, using process mapping tools, techniques, to EIOS requirements.</li> <li>Maintains process documentation currency: manages and tracks process document review and renewal processes.</li> <li>Maintains indexed documentation repository -Represents IT EIOS process-based concerns in divisional forums and work groups.</li> <li>Maintains process documentation KPI reporting to standards.</li> </ul> <p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analytical thinking skills.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and methodologies.</li> <li>Written and verbal communication skills interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to provide technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, or within a team environment.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
