Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: <p>Responsible for creating the behaviors, structures, systems and competencies required to run the IT organization as an effective, valued partner. Aligns the IT strategy, services, investment decisions and delivery structures and processes with the strategic direction of the enterprise. Provides services to meet the needs of the clients and takes responsibility for improving processes that are negatively affecting customer satisfaction and relationships. Provides technical and business leadership to their organizations as well as to the business.</p> <p>Operational Oversite and Management of a highly critical service area for BCBSM that support automation of provisioning for accessibility of our users/ providers/agents and groups, that provide a basis for our success and support of our IT strategy. We would look for this individual to contribute to the development of an IT strategy.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensures that systems and servers is installed, configured and maintained correctly.</li> <li>Operational Support, Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Administration of production systems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Determines system enhancements and tuning that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.&nbsp;</li> <li>Determines, sets-up, and monitors systems and servers for environment based on organization's architectural needs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Investigates new developments and makes recommendations on additions or replacements.&nbsp;</li> <li>Interfaces with the appropriate architecture groups to ensure that a unified direction is in place and is being followed.&nbsp;</li> <li>A high proficiency level in specific job-related skills is required.</li> <li>Identify, implement and monitor best practices for technology architecture in area of expertise.</li> <li>Has wide latitude in determining creative solutions to strategic and operational needs.</li> <li>Interface with vendors for troubleshooting purposes and proper engagement of backline support.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in the creation and management of technical documentation.</li> <li>Collaborative in approach to working with a team.</li> <li>Highly creative in approach to problem solving.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Required Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must have the&nbsp;experience integrating technologies such as LDAP and Active Directory.</li> <li>3+ years of working experience supporting logon, registration, and identity systems.</li> <li>5+ years of experience with Web Development technologies like Java.</li> <li>3+ years of experience with databases like MS SQL Servers, Oracle etc.</li> </ul> <p><strong>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field required.</li> <li>Seven (7) years of relevant IT and business/industry work experience required.</li> <li>Experience in supervising and building relationships with people at all levels required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Operational experience with Identity Access Management tools (ISIM, SUN Identity and Access Management and Oracle WAVESE).</li> <li>Working knowledge of JAVA.</li> <li>Knowledge of Audit requirements.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Decision making, critical and strategic thinking skills ability to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.</li> <li>Must possess a combination of business, technical and leadership skills and competencies understanding of client's business needs, processes and functions.</li> <li>Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, architecture, application development and support, networks, and computer operations.</li> <li>Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to launch and deliver a single IT project on time and within budget.</li> <li>Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a collaborative manner.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
