Overview: <div> <div> <div><a>The onsite coordinators will work closely with General Dynamics employees to increase productivity, boost morale, and promote wellness programs throughout the year.&nbsp;&nbsp;</a>They will develop, implement and evaluate new and existing onsite programs to encourage sustained engagement while fostering a wellness relationship with employees and champion change.&nbsp;</div> </div> </div>
Responsibilities: <p>Onsite Wellness Coordinators will:</p> <ul> <li>Promote the Healthy Partners Programs and Blue Cross&nbsp;Health &amp; Wellness programs.</li> <li>Plan a kick-off meeting with employees.</li> <li>Explain the wellness solution.</li> <li>Meet and greet and distribute their profile.</li> <li>Gather employee recommendations through a survey.</li> <li>Develop a comprehensive communication plan to promote the program throughout the year and drive increased engagement with program requirements (Semi-Annually).</li> <li>Make recommendations to create a culture that supports health and well-being.</li> <li>Conduct a workplace assessment, create a plan with goals and execute the plan.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;General Dynamics Wellness program details includes developing a yearly calendar of wellness events and campaigns including responsibilities such as:</p> <ul> <li>Organize and execute a kick-off event.</li> <li>National and Custom health and well-being campaigns and challenges.</li> <li>Organize Health Fairs and screening campaigns.</li> <li>Create lunch and learns and demos (fitness and nutrition) for employees.</li> <li>Promote and provide integration with community resources and events.</li> <li>Gather employee testimonials to promote the program and be communicated to staff.</li> <li>Create wellness committee.</li> <li>Coordinate Worksite Health Screening or flu shot campaigns, if applicable.</li> <li>Customize and distribute communications and promotional materials.</li> </ul> <p>Responsible for supporting health promotion and wellness programs aimed at encouraging members to adopt healthy lifestyles by actively participating in wellness activities. Position will provide assessment; health education and behavior change counseling using a collaborative approach to facilitate change.</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the identification and development of member health education needs through health&nbsp;assessment activities that may include online health risk appraisal, telephonic outreach, etc.</li> <li>Provide telephonic outreach and counseling on member compliance with nationally accepted health&nbsp;prevention guidelines and general health and wellness strategies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform research and communicate on relevant topics in health promotion and disease prevention.&nbsp;</li> <li>Facilitate collaboration between health education resources, the community and the company.&nbsp;</li> <li>Comply with applicable regulatory and licensing requirements such as NCQA, CMS, URAC, etc.&nbsp;</li> <li>Monitor, evaluate and report programs&rsquo; effectiveness (e.g. outcomes).&nbsp;</li> <li>Prepare presentation/display materials and conduct targeted education/wellness programs targeting specific health strategies for designated populations.</li> <li>Serve as liaison between internal and external stakeholders to champion and develop programs aimed at prevention, wellness and disease management.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor degree in Health Education, Health Promotion, Nutrition, Nursing, Exercise Physiology or Social Work required.</li> <li>Master degree in related discipline preferred.</li> <li>Two (2) years&rsquo; experience in a health promotion/education setting, counseling on health topics such as nutrition, exercise, cholesterol, hypertension, stress, alcohol and smoking.</li> <li>Other education and/or experience may be required based on designated departmental assignment.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work at a high energy level in a team environment with minimum supervision.</li> <li>Ability to be flexible and to manage multiple tasks with a strong customer focus.</li> <li>Clinical knowledge of disease prevention and wellness strategies.</li> <li>Good working knowledge of current industry standard PC software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and proven administrative abilities.</li> <li>Working knowledge and understanding of health behavior change theories, counseling, interviewing techniques, strategies and application required.</li> <li>Ability to plan, implement and evaluate employee disease prevention and health promotion programs.</li> <li>Reliable transportation, current auto liability coverage and an acceptable driving record as travel is required.</li> <li>Knowledge of NCQA, CMS, URAC, HEDIS standards as applicable to designated department assignment.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job based on designated departmental assignment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)certification, Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certification.</li> <li>Medical licenses require current unrestricted state of Michigan licensure.</li> <li>Valid and unrestricted Michigan driver's license is required.</li> </ul>
