Overview: The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing learning experiences that solve business problems through the thoughtful combination of communications, eLearning, instructor-led training, performance support and other interventions. They ensure that high-quality, innovative, and effective learning solutions are designed, developed, and delivered by different teams in a timely manner to satisfy business needs.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <div>Engage with stakeholders from different parts of the business to rapidly analyze their needs and design high-level learning solutions that may include a range of low, medium, and high-fidelity learning interventions</div> </li> <li> <div>Plan, coordinate, and develop support materials and communications for divisional and/or corporate projects.</div> </li> <li> <div>Report project statuses to various levels of management.</div> </li> <li> <div>Develop performance-based training and development systems to meet operational needs and requirements.</div> </li> <li> <div>Develop cross-training for various employees to carry out job functions.</div> </li> <li> <div>Support department, divisional and corporate goals.</div> </li> <li> <div>Represent department and division as requested on workgroups and special assignments.</div> </li> <li> <div>Establish and meet deadlines and reporting requirements.</div> </li> <li> <div>Conduct a need analysis to design and develop materials to support training and end-users for projects, implementations &amp; initiatives for internal, external, and self-service customers.</div> </li> <li> <div>Interact with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.</div> </li> <li> <div>Work closely with subject matter experts (SME's) to ensure quality content is developed.</div> </li> <li> <div>Evaluate documentation/training systems to ensure effectiveness.</div> </li> <li> <div>Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.</div> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li> <div>Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology or Training &amp; Development, Technical Communications preferred.</div> </li> <li> <div>Three (3) years experience utilizing multimedia tools such as Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Illustrator preferred.</div> </li> <li> <div>Two (2) years of project management experience preferred.</div> </li> <li> <div>Experience in designing and developing computer-based training, storyboards, and lessons to be used in a variety of delivery media is required.</div> </li> <li> <div>Experience with documentation or training authorizing systems preferred.</div> </li> <li> <div>Technical writing skills, preferred</div> </li> <li> <div>Proven project leadership or employee leadership skills/experience.</div> </li> <li> <div>Knowledge of instructional design principles to provide effective/efficient training solutions to business problems and effectively communicate recommendations to all levels of employees</div> </li> <li> <div>Demonstrated skills developing with authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Animate, Camtasia, SharePoint knowledge, preferred.</div> </li> <li> <div>Knowledge of adult learning theories with the ability to create content relevance by mapping courses with perceived learner needs and plan instructional strategies relevant for wide variety of adult learners</div> </li> <li> <div>Ability to devise instructional strategies in alignment with real learning contexts and choose the technology that best supports the instructional strategy</div> </li> <li> <div>Proven ability to reduce various types of Cognitive load that pertain to ILT and eLearning.</div> </li> <li> <div>Maintains a high degree of knowledge in existing and emerging learning methods; ability to assess and envision how these methods can be applied to course development efforts.</div> </li> <li> <div>Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem resolution skills.</div> </li> <li> <div>Conduct group presentations and facilitate end-user training.</div> </li> </ul> <div><strong>Department Preferences:</strong></div> <ul> <li>Prior experience with greivance and appeals, insurance, and/or Medicare guidelines is preferred, but not required.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -19px; top: 26.7639px;">&nbsp;</div>
