Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: Directly accountable for the operating portfolio’s overall risk adjusted performance and planning while ensuring sound implementation of the corporate investment policy including compliance with federal and state law. Support the corporate goals and objectives
Responsibilities: <ul><li>Maintain awareness of external (e.g. market, regulatory, accounting) trends and events impacting the institutional investment space and corporate investment program.</li><li>Lead the development and maintenance of guiding documents including the corporate strategic plan, budget documents and policy and process statements. </li><li>Evaluate, review and recommend changes to strategic and tactical asset allocation, risk budget, attributable analysis, asset/liability studies and other major investment decisions on an ongoing basis to ensure optimal performance.</li><li>Oversee external investment manager and consultant searches, ensuring that well qualified candidate firms are recommended.</li><li>Oversee risk adjusted performance and compliance activities of the external and internal investment teams, recommending corrective actions for underperformance and non-compliance.</li><li>Develop and implement training and professional development plans for investment staff in partnership with Human Resources.</li><li>Develop detailed annual budget for the investment function and all related activities.</li><li>Develop and prepare materials for the Board of Directors’ Finance Committee, including sound and fully supported policy recommendations, manager fund performance and investment risk. </li></ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.</li> <li>Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.</li> <li>Ten (10) years related work experience including five (5) years in institutional investment management; must be well versed in fixed income. Experience in a leadership role.</li> <li>Knowledge of investment markets, securities structure, derivatives types and trading policies.</li> <li>Knowledge of advanced economic theory.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively under general direction and in a team environment.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, leadership and management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
