Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: Responsible for coordinating training activities, developing and conducting formal classroom training across the enterprise and providing on-the-job-training and mentoring for junior level trainers.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Work closely with leadership and other subject matter experts to coordinate and deliver training through varied methodologies to specified audiences in the corporation and external business partners.</li> <li>Develop and maintain training documentation and materials utilizing instructional design principles; coordinate curriculum development with curriculum owners.</li> <li>Plan, coordinate, develop and implement approved projects which are divisional and/or corporate in scope, enhancing the overall efficiency of operational procedures, methods, controls and performance.</li> <li>Facilitate pre-training needs analysis meetings, document expectations, and follow up to ensure that all necessary action steps have been taken.</li> <li>Represent and serve as a decision-maker for the department or division; function as a subject matter expert as assigned for work groups and special assignments.</li> <li>Serve as a mentor for junior-level trainers by providing guidance and support. Assist internal and external personnel by answering questions, supplying information and resolving issues that may impede the successful completion of training.</li> <li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: " Qualifications"<br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications or related discipline required. Master's degree preferred.</li> <li>Five (5) years BCBSM and/or related experience, including one year functioning in a training or related role.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in developing and participating in group presentations, leading special projects and workgroups, meeting facilitation, conducting OJT, performance evaluation feedback, coaching, etc.</li> <li>Demonstrated PC skills for Microsoft Office applications</li> <li>Ability to design and produce training materials based on instructional design principles.</li> <li>Knowledge of company policies and procedures, HIPPA privacy policies, online tools, reporting systems, and application of adult learning principles.</li> <li>Good verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul> Departmental Preferences:<br /> <ul> <li>Proficiency of facilitation techniques in various training modalities.</li> </ul> OTHER REQUIREMENTS<br /> <ul> <li>Valid Michigan driver's license required</li> <li>Frequent travel to business locations as required</li> </ul>
