Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: Oversees the Content Strategy staff, content development, and content quality assurance testing and search engine optimization activities. Leads development of digital content governance, implements the tools and best practices of content strategy across websites and applications, implements processes for content development and editorial reviews, and collaborates with UX and Visual Design leadership to ensure a holistic approach to user experience design. Along with the Content Strategy team lead, directs the content team on a daily basis. Serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Digital Experience websites and applications, ensuring a consistent approach to content execution across the work of the department.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Leads development of content strategies for digital products. Develops and implements content standards. Oversees development of content artifacts &ndash; editorial style guides, content inventories, content plans, etc.&nbsp; Educates peers, stakeholders, and staff on content strategy principles, methods, benefits, and critical success factors.&nbsp; Collaborates with peers in Visual Design and User Experience to establish a holistic approach to digital experience design. Institutes continuous process improvement to mature the content practice, over time. Stays abreast of trends in content strategy and design, digital technology, UX research, etc. Ensures search engine optimization principles and tactics are applied on digital projects. Provides editorial review of high-profile digital applications and websites.</li> <li>Develops and maintains content strategy team. Manages, mentors, and leads a staff of content strategists, content producers, and editors.&nbsp; Institutes skill building and education programs for staff. Institutes continuous process improvement to mature the content practice, over time.</li> <li>Advises DX leadership on content strategy approach, methods, tools, resources.&nbsp; Consults with peers, digital product teams, and stakeholders on content, search, and UCD.&nbsp; Develops relationships with parallel groups across BCBSM (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Product Development, Research) to ensure alignment on brand standards.</li> <li>Develops frameworks for innovation; participates in innovation initiatives.&nbsp; Is a catalyst for content innovation, brining research and new ways of thinking to the digital team.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required.&nbsp; Master&rsquo;s degree in English, Journalism or Communications preferred.</li> <li>10 or more years of relevant professional web editing/writing experience.</li> <li>Experience in applying content strategy principles to digital projects.</li> <li>Experience in editing, online publishing, website management or social media.</li> <li>Experience using enterprise web content management systems such as Adobe AEM/CQ.</li> <li>Thought leader in Content Strategy for the web.</li> <li>Dossier of publications and speaking engagements about digital content strategy.</li> <li>Collaborative, positive attitude with a strong team ethic.</li> <li>Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and reprioritize time effectively.</li> <li>Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.</li> <li>Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -29px; top: -20px;">&nbsp;</div>
