Overview: This position is responsible for planning, material acquisition, team leadership and provision of general oversight of the operations and maintenance of assigned company facilities. The primary purpose is to provide high quality, cost effective installation and repair services to all systems at company facilities. Proper job performance results in the continued safe, reliable and efficient availability of all equipment and systems necessary to sustain a productive, optimal work environment at company facilities.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provides the highest level of facility system service expertise and authority.</li> <li>Responsible for all facility operations and maintenance activities. &nbsp;Coordinating facility projects such as construction, mechanical/electrical system upgrades, capital improvement projects and facility reconfigurations, as assigned.</li> <li>Responsible for all tools, repair parts and other supplies necessary to complete routine and emergency tasks.</li> <li>Investigate and analyze equipment/system problems and provide solution recommendations, and/or cost estimates to leadership.</li> <li>Responsible for the proper application of safe work practices on the job site and compliance with all pertinent federal, state, local, MIOSHA regulations, and construction codes and standards.</li> <li>Responsible for the safe and proper lockout of hazardous energy sources on all facility systems or equipment upon which work is to be performed while maintaining assigned equipment and spaces in optimum condition.</li> <li>Responsible for notification of any company facility discrepancies noted to team leadership and any required service that cannot be properly completed.</li> <li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High school graduate or GED equivalent is required.</li> <li>Minimum of eight (8) years&rsquo; experience in architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical or plumbing equipment and system installation, fault analysis and repair; in a comparable facility. &nbsp;</li> <li>As an alternate, a related college degree or trade license, with four (4) years&rsquo; experience in the field of certification in the areas previously listed, may be used in place of the minimum eight (8) years required experience.</li> <li>Valid and unrestricted driver&rsquo;s license is required.</li> <li>Must be capable of independently assembling all materials and resources to complete assigned tasks.</li> <li>Knowledge of State and Local Construction codes and standards.</li> <li>Must be able to coordinate the work activity of others and capable of training junior personnel and coordinating the work activity of others on the operations and maintenance team.</li> <li>Must be able to communicate well with customers, staff and employees.</li> <li>Must be able to travel to other facilities within region with overnight stays may be required.</li> <li>Must be available to work any required shift on short notice, weekends and holidays.</li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.&nbsp;</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -61px; top: -20px;">&nbsp;</div>
