Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: Responsible for making recommendation on highly consequential matters, with long-term implications for the organization including setting enterprise priorities, development of strategies and assessment of strategic investments and partnerships. Consider market trends and changes, identify, prioritize and develop strategies to enable the future statue of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Blue Care Network and it subsidiaries
Responsibilities: <ul><li>Manage activities that are directly related to the corporate strategies, goals and objectives. Manage several priority initiatives concurrently.</li><li>Oversee or perform analyses including, but not limited to, financial modeling, claims analysis and complex statistical analysis.</li><li>Act as a thought partner to enterprise leadership in the development and prioritization of long-term strategies.</li><li>Provide solutions to complex business problems and make recommendations to senior management to improve strategic initiatives and technical processes.</li><li>Develop and maintain systems to monitor, measure, and report performance and achievement of programs, long-term goals and strategic initiatives that have divisional and/or corporate impact. Maintain knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in related field.</li><li>Assist executive leadership in developing and approving annual goals and ensure corporate standards are consistently met.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive understanding of all Blue Cross products, programs, administrative policies and procedures. Provide high level oversight and leadership.</li><li>Utilize primary and secondary research to assist in identifying best practices and opportunities for the corporation.</li><li>Create executive level PowerPoint presentations and correspondence to communicate recommendations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.</li><li>Convene colleagues and SMEs to foster a collaborative environment in order to stay informed on changes in the healthcare payer and broader healthcare industries that may impact enterprise strategies.</li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Health Policy, Business or related field required. Master's Degree in related field strongly preferred. </li><li>Five (5) years of experience in related field required. Health care industry experience a plus. </li><li>Three (3) years leadership experience preferred. </li><li>Previous experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy at a highly complex organization or prior experience within the healthcare industry preferred. </li><li>Excellent analytical skills and financial modeling capabilities using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), with attention to detail. </li><li>Advance critical thinking skills demonstrated through problem solving for complex business problems. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and lead others' work within a team environment with multiple priorities. </li><li>Ability to effective interface with management at all levels and external contacts. </li><li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job. </li></ul>
