Overview: Creates quantitative models that improve the performance of managed funds. Supports the corporate goals and objectives
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist in and make recommendations for the development of new investment strategies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop and maintain knowledge of financial markets, securities and investment themes in order to bring an informed perspective to the investment strategy development and modeling process. Construct quantitative models to support the leadership in developing asset allocation modeling (SAA/TAA).</li> <li>Produce thorough, insightful, concise analysis and reports for department and senior leadership. Undertake a variety of ad-hoc analytical projects as needed to support portfolio management and trading.</li> <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Departmental Preferences</strong></p> <ul> <li>Institutional Asset Management experience/expertise.</li> <li>Multi-Asset Portfolio experience &ndash; broad experience across a variety of asset classes.</li> <li>Preference towards candidates that can illustrate their career progression and growth in responsibilities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field is required. MBA preferred.</li> <li>Five (5) years related analytical experience, including strong foundation of basic investment knowledge including an understanding of capital markets, market indices and various securities (equity, fixed income and derivatives).</li> <li>CFA certification preferred.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).</li> <li>Excellent computer programming skills. Ability to program in Matlab or C++ preferred.</li> <li>Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Applicable knowledge of accounting applications and ability to utilize Bloomberg software.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
