Overview: Responsible to plan, organize, direct, control, and lead assigned business unit; specialize in development, planning, and leadership; operate within broad objectives to ensure optimum utilization of capital, manpower, and equipment for the assigned business unit
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Manage activities of a department including but not limited to planning, problem solving, staff development and communication.</li> <li>Execute function/area objectives that support continuous improvement.</li> <li>Manage professional, exempt, and non-exempt non-bargaining and bargaining unit employees. Responsible for special projects and/or problem resolutions.</li> <li>Provide effective and efficient solutions to complex business problems.</li> <li>Provide high level oversight and leadership.</li> <li>Other Duties may be assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Departmental Summary / Preferences:</strong></p> <p>Our Product and Program Solutions team is delivering innovative health care solutions to our customers and members. As solution consultants, we work with internal partners to understand existing, new and future capabilities and package them in smart, compelling ways to best support our customers and their healthcare goals. We do this in collaboration with multiple teams across the enterprise to deliver solutions that focus on the biggest problems our customers and members face. We work to enable our partners in sales to have impactful conversations with their customers showcasing how Blue Cross is addressing their needs. We also combine solutions to message the overall value driven by the Health Care Value division and ensure the value is clearly articulated through various channels including RFP responses and group presentations.</p> <p>Responsible for oversight of the team of individuals who are responsible for the packaging of existing and new products, programs and capabilities in a simple and easy to understand format in order to:</p> <ul> <li>Enable sales staff to speak confidently to group customers regarding potential solutions.</li> <li>Demonstrate the value Blue Cross brings to customers and members across various area of Health Care Value.</li> <li>Tell great stories that resonate with customers, increasing their loyalty to Blue Cross and increasing the likelihood they will purchase additional services.</li> <li>Ensuring a consistent story is told through various external channels including presentations and RFP responses.</li> <li>Work with leaders from across Health Care Value to understand existing, new, and future products, programs and their capabilities.</li> <li>Ensure a clear understanding of all holistic solutions in order to connect dots between initiatives to ensure bundling opportunities are not missed.</li> <li>Provide necessary input to drive go-to-market strategies throughout the organization.</li> <li>Own the HCV product, program and solution roadmap, communicating to&nbsp;our sales team and their customers what is coming and when, providing more details as market commitments are made.</li> <li>Present solutions directly to senior decision makers at our largest and most strategic group customers.</li> <li>Consult with partners from the sales team to develop strategy for deciding&nbsp;which solutions should be presented to group customers and when.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and engage with internal and external clients to identify needs and develop solutions.</li> <li>Ability to lead a team and to work effectively with all areas of the corporation.</li> <li>Ability to solve complex problems in an ambiguous, unstructured&nbsp;environment.</li> <li>Possess a high degree of creativity and the ability to work independently.</li> <li>Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems.</li> <li>Ability to present to senior leadership internally and externally.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in related field required. Master's Degree in related field considered a plus.</li> <li>Five (5) to ten (10) years&rsquo; experience in related field including experience in a leadership role.</li> <li>Ability to work under general direction.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li> <li>Good analytical, organizational, planning, verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> <li>Valid Michigan Accident and Health Insurance License.</li> <li>Valid and unrestricted driver's license is required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</strong></p> <p><strong>If an employee is selling/negotiating rates as part of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the following licenses are required within 90 days of the employee's start date or the license expiration date.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Valid Michigan Accident and Health Insurance License.</li> <li>Valid Michigan driver's license required.</li> </ul>
